Ok everybody-

My mom and I are both horribly allergic to lots of perfumes out there. Now, it doesn't help that most people don't seem to understand just HOW to wear perfume, and tend to put enough on so that you could find them in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean just by sniffing them out. Roll Eyes Confused

Anyway, I *think* that I'm mostly allergic to synthetic fragrances, as I've started playing around with essential oils just a little bit and find that I don't have the same reactions to the the EO's as I do regular perfumes.

Anyway, I would LOVE to find a NATURAL perfume that I could wear on special occasions. I want to try some of Kristen's perfumes, but am afraid to spend the money and find out that they do in fact give me a headache.

Can anyone give me any personal experiences with the natural perfumes Aromaleigh produces? I'd LOVE to hear that someone else usually gets headaches around perfumes but doesn't get one when they use Kristen's!! Wink Smile

Thanks!

Kristen has some wonderful fragrances here. Did you happen to see the fragrance sample gift set? Fragrance Sampler
This is a great way to try natural perfumes without investing a whole lot. Be sure to try them on your skin because they smell different in the vial than they do when they are worn.
HTH!

I can tell you that yes, synthetics give me headaches, but Kristen's perfumes do not. Sadly, the wonderful and delicate nature of the eo perfumes makes them very short-lived and fleeting on, and so I find that I am guilty of your "Mid-Atlantic" application technique... TeeHeeHee (Actually, I find that they last longer if I use on my hair/clothing.)

Personally, I love Madeleine and Dulcinea the best. I could *kick* myself for not getting my order of Dulcinea on sale submitted last night... been waiting for it for what seemed like ages!!! Boo Hoo Hoo I don't think you'll be disappointed if you try any of them -- they are very light and wonderful fragrances... and headache-free. Love

I cannot wear synthetic perfumes ($-$$$$) at all. I get headaches. But never from any of Aromaleigh's fragrances.

Get a sampler pack. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

You must've smelled my MIL....I think she just applied her perfume! Ugh, while I was pregnant I'd get nauseous getting within 50 feet of her. She went to Babies R Us with me & hubby one day, and I had to drive with the windows down, even though it was cold & rainy!

I agree, try the fragrance sampler pack. Just keep in mind that you can't judge a scent by the way it smells in the vial....you have to actually apply a little to your skin. One scent can smell, shall we say, not so pleasing in the vial, but you put it on and it smells completely different! Scents will also vary from person to person.

I also get headaches almost immediately if I apply synthetic perfumes which is why I no longer use them. They are full of chemicals, one being formaldahyde...I only use organic, plant essential oil based body lotions now. However, I have tried AL sample perfumes in the past and did not get a headache. Oh my GAWD! I'm officially so excited! I can't wait to try that - I love natural perfumes, and synthetics give me a headache, make me sneeze and make my eyes red and watery. I've been on nothing but essential oils for a long time, but I'm always on the lookout for new natural perfumes. I'm absolutely trying the sample fragrances on my next order - thanks for the link!

I'm ultra sensitive to artificial fragrances and perfumes too! I get an instant headache just from walking down the 'laundry detergent' isle at the store!

To reassure you, AL perfumes have never given me a headache! I tried out a sampler set (which I totally recommend!). I didn't fall for any of the fragrances (but I'm super picky!) and I'm sure they would smell lovely on others! They do smell completely different in the container- so make sure to test them on your skin! Smile
