Well, I JUST received my order from the sale (thank you so much Kristen, et al, for still making the goodies feel like preents, so neatly wrapped in pink tissue and complete with the famous handwritten thank you!!) and I am so in love with the scents.

I spritzed Adelaide on one wrist and Kristen on the other. TO my nose and on my skin, Adelaide opens with an almost 4711-ish cleanness. Very crisp and bright. On my skin, it softens and develops into an ever so slightly floral chypre, or fresh green scent. I definitely pick up on the oakmoss, which is in the base notes of many of my favorite fragrances, including Mitsouko by Guerlain. But Adelaide is wholly different from anything in my collection - it is soft, clean, bright, and really makes me think of summer as a child, running through sprinklers on the lawn, twirling in droplets. If it were a color, to me it would be a slightly muted yellow-green - the color of new leaves on a misty morning. It is very happy and honest a fragrance, and one I'll share with a close friend of mine who I think is looking for something just like this one.

Kristen, literally on the other hand, is peppery and spicy, and on my skin has an almost menthol/camphor note which is lovely and bracing and tempers the sweetness. This one is rich and soft and sultry. It reminds me of garnet colored velvet and crimson heavyweight silk satin. It is not a heavy fragrance at all - but round, smooth, warm and kissed by the sweetness of rose without being a floral, least of all a rosey one.

They are GORGEOUS! And I am so happy to have them in my collection. Thank you, Kristen, for creating such exquisite scents for us!
