I wore each scent for 2 days except Giselle. Please remember that each scent smells differently on each person. What didn't work for me may work for you.

Most of my descriptions will be based on the images they evoke. I'm not good at describing fragrances.

Adelaide - fresh, innocence, youth, like a teenage girl. It's a sweet floral. The scent lasted a couple of hours, but lasted longer on my clothing.

Dulcinea - I have this in a full size and I absolutely love it. A little floral, a little spicy. It's sultry; Hollywood glam. It's Marilyn Monroe. It lasts a long time too. My boyfriend loves this scent on me, and he rarely notices perfumes.

Giselle - not the scent for me. It is too strong initially and just has an unpleasant smell on my skin even after it settled down. Remember, it smells better on other people; it simply didn't react well with my skin. Once the initial scent faded, it didn't last long, either.

Isobel - I so wanted to love this scent. In the vial, it is very rich and complex, like a successful, powerful business woman. Unfortunately, on my skin was another matter. The scent wasn't per se unpleasant, but it reminded me of a household cleaner, which isn't something I want to smell like or be reminded of. Did have lasting power, though.

Kristen - In the vial, it had a strong, peppery smell, and I was afraid that I wouldn't like it. On my skin.... wow! The peppery smell isn't at all strong, and the entire scent is so complex and indescribable and unique! It evoked an image of an artist. After 6 hours, I could still detect traces of the scent. Love, love, LOVE Kristen!!

Madeleine - comforting, like a young mother. I can detect the chocolate and vanilla in it, but it isn't an overpowering foody smell. It's a nice change of pace from the usual florals and citrus scents. Decent staying power, too.

Overall, for natural perfumes, they all lasted longer than I expected.

Isn't it funny, how they work differently on each of us? Isobel wears well on me, but Kristen turned very unpleasant. I was disappointed...I *love* the way Kristen smells in the bottle, but something about my personal body chemistry disagreed with it.

Commercial perfumes are the same. Emeraude smells like "old lady" to my nose, but one of my aunt's wears it and it smells wonderful on her. And my mom in Chanel #5 will absolutely make you drool...that stuff was *made* for her!

Very true, Melissa! I'm sure many people will love Giselle and Isobel. I may add Isobel to a cotton ball and put it in my lingerie drawer.

I should add that as far as perfumes go, I've had more success with these natural ones than synthetic ones. Synthetic ones tend to mutate unpleasantly on my skin.

It is so interesting how different fragrances smell to different people. I have tried all of them now and here is how they smelled on me.

Isobel-This is my favorite of all. It is a heady floral, sultry, sexy. This one has the best staying power on me. My hubby likes it too, if you know what I mean. Wink

Kristen-I didn't think I would like this one(Black pepper?). Funny how one word can make us think we might not like something. It is wonderfully fragrant with a sweet citrusy note, mellowing to a soft spicy warm scent. It is very delightful!

Madeleine-Even though I can tell the difference, Madeleine and Kristen seem similar in many ways though I can't describe just how. If you like Madeleine, you would probably also like Kristen and vise-versa. I can detect the sandalwood which makes this scent so sublime.

Dulcinea-girlish and playful. Initially this was my favorite, however it disappears so fast on me. It also makes me think of a sweet smelling candle like vanilla or cocoa. Sweet lovely scent, I just wish it would stay for a while. Frown

Adelaide-This one continues to grow on me. The word "Oakmoss" made this sound intriguing. It is warm, summery, green, fresh. Makes me want to go put on a white dress and run across a plush lawn in my bare feet.

Giselle-The newest member of the Aromaleigh fragrance family! I'm still getting to know Giselle. It is fresh and herbal. A sophisticated scent, again more of a scent for spring or summer days. Not necessarily to go out and play, but more of an elegant leisure.

All in all, I have a deep appreciation for all of these scents. It is helpful to say that if you are interested in natural fragrances, to try a sample of each. Samples are not that costly and these fragrances are a delight to explore! You never know which will really get your attention until you've tried them. Like it is said, words cannot describe them.
