I have decided to introduce a new type of make-over made possible by being able to choose your own eye samples.

What three eye colors should I choose and make a look out of? (I may have some already, but I will pick the three that I don't have out of everyone's suggestions.)

Also, I can't post a pic because I'm at work. So. You can check my Facebook or past posts on this forum. Smile

Thanks!

Are you asking us to pick colors for you that you don't have yet? Or are you just looking for suggestions for those you do already? Or both?

I'd like to see you do an Elemental Lustre look. I recommend for you: Torment - "Deep, vivid burgundy with smoke undertones. This color in person can only be described as wicked"

Spark - "Sweetly shimmering honeyed mocha."

You can soften the metallic sheen with an Eye Plush, if desired. With something ike Persian Kitten - "Smooth, plush finish tan. Your do-it-all Plush! Soft pearl finish. Slightly paler than Midtone."

Hehe Thanks Melissa. I think I was asking all of that. Smile

I will definitely be trading in some old shadow(s) for new samples, so I will pick up Spark and Persian Kitten. (I already have Torment, just haven't used it yet.)

Thanks!

I kind of hope that other people think this might be a cool idea... Perhaps. Or at least for people who only have small amount of the collection(s) like me. Smile

Those are some great choices as that combo would make my blue eyes pop crazy and with your hair color it would look very nice. I use Tarnish in this combo. I'd like to see you with a blue-green combo. One I love is Lichen, Arbor, and May Lily (LE so could substitute maybe Aloe or another light green). I dry line with Arbor when I do this. BTW try drylining with Torment at some point when trying this combo, if it is like Tarnish it will look gorgeous drylined.

Ooh thanks Jani!

The only thing I have noticed lately is that greens are not so hot on me. I can only get Coney Island to work over something else so that it's not directly on my skin or else I start to look like I have bruises. Yellow can do it too.

I will definitely keep these colors in mind when I exchange my one eyeshadow for my five samples. Anywho. Smile I'm being summoned to watch a movie. Thanks for the suggestions!!

Also, I did a blue eye look in one of the recent challenges. here's the link

I just knew Torment would sizzle on you, Carolyn!

Holy Grail may be another olive tone that you would like. When I foil it, it is golden. When it is dry, it is a grayish-green. It's more neutral than the Bete Noires. Just a thought...

Hmmm. About the greens... it must be the yellow component, since you say some yellows do it, too. I know you likey the blue-greens. Have you tried Lucky PH?

Lucky - A bluish-green with medium shimmer. Not for use on the lips.

There's something kinda "magically delicious" about the green shimmer in it. This one might have the green that will work on you without looking bruisy on you.

Sad story: I once had a sample of Lucky, when I was a loose mineral shadow noob. I didn't get it to work on me, so I threw it away. Frown I am still kicking myself over that one. Don't repeat my folly. Shelve those samples that work for a while... or try 'em in nailpolish.

Well... (blushing) Aw shucks.

You will love the binder... makes it way easier to navigate the samples. Have fun with it!
