Hi Ladies,
I am getting married October 29th in Southern California (San Bernardino County to be exact). I was wondering if any of you ladies in the area do hair and makeup or knows someone who does this. I was going to do it myself for the wedding to save money but if I can have one less thing to worry about that would be great. Everywhere I have called or looked up is so expensive just for a trial, let alone the day of. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Amanda

P.S. I've been using Aromoleigh for only the past week and I love it. I am so glad I found this website and this forum. All the ladies were so helpful in giving me such great suggestions on what to buy. Thanks!!!

I don't know that area, but I was thinking after you use AL a little longer that you won't want anything else on your face for your wedding. Have you asked if anyone would do your face with your AL makeup? May be cheaper and you would look great for your big day. Also, I did my own makeup because I was nervous for someone else to do it and I wouldn't look like me.

Just some thoughts,
Lisa

P.S. Congrats!! Cheers

Congrats on the wedding.. Cheers
I bet after using the AL a few more weeks, you'll be comfortable doing your own Al makeup and look better than if you had someone else do it! Or do you have a friend who is good at makeup who could assist you?
Then just get a hairdresser for the tresses! Big Grin

This wedding day is getting very close isn't it? I hope you have been able to find someone to help with your make-up.

Soon to be 54. A proud mother of 4 children and Granna to 4 grandchildren. Still trying to figure out how those years have passed so quickly. I use a mixture of foundation colors in the 2 or 3 range topped off with Jane's finishing powder. I am into low maintenance these days and AL products make that possible.

Hi and congrats on your upcoming wedding. I haven't written about your wedding cause when I first saw it posted, I was real new to the makeup and didn't know what to say.
I will say from my experience with this make up and being married myself, I will tell you that the more natural you keep it the better. Leave your hair down and soft and just put a light clean makeup look. You will be much more comfortable keeping it light and in turn, have more fun.
You will look beautiful even if you are in a bathrobe and curlers, I am sure. It is a day about you being united to your husband; God binding you together, trust me, you'll look great!
We all are anxious to hear how things are going, please keep us updated.

Hey, it looks like I was a little late to this post, but hopefully I can help some of you who are still stressing over hair and makeup for your big day. I've looked at TONS of listings and my favorite one so far was http://www.gatheringguide.com/event_directory/rc/ca_cal...l_health_beauty.html
Where you can see a bunch of local professionals and click on their specifics, no effort. I will definitely be going with a pro for mine!

You might see if there's a styling school near you. They're usually senior students but the work is much cheaper. I know in Seattle we have a Gene Juarez school down town. As for makeup I think I'd probably do my own at this point. That way you can play around with colors and take photos (witha flash!) to see what works.
