Hey everyone, I am a new (and forever loyal) customer. My name is Katelyn.

I was searching for the past couple of months looking for mineral makeups and the ingredients in them--as well as prices--trying to figure out what I was going to get and from who. Reason being is I was using Benefit's Some Kind-a Gorgeous and it seemed like I was breaking out. So I broke out all my acne face washes. Nothing was working, so I decided, hell, why not try putting less crap on my face? x_x

I don't remember what i googled nor how I stumbled across Aromaleigh, all I know was it was some sort of forum and someone posting a comment over a face product had said something about Aromaleigh, that they were inexpensive and try giving them a shot. My first thought was, you get what you pay for.

After prowling around on the forum for a couple more days looking at all the possibilities of the makeup, thanks to you girls--not fake models that are airbrushed to fool--I decided to make my move.

I ordered about 6 samples of foundation, two samples of the porcelain oil control mattifyer and 4 or 5 samples of eyeshadows. Twenty bucks spent either lost or put to good use--I wasn't sure.

When the samples got here, I didn't even want to go to work because I wanted to play around with them :/ buuut I need money (to pay for more Aromaleigh!). When I came home, I tried the foundation, and me being the numbnut that I am, put on a layer and was like uhh this isn't covering anything.. 'til I realized DUH you LAYER the stuff on! I'm using a 50/50 mix of Glissade 2N and Voile 3N.

I went to work with my dad that night and got a little bit oily, but not to what I used to be with Benefit.

Today, I used the Porcelain oil control--in medium--underneath the foundation, three different eyeshadows, and went to work. I work at Kohl's and am walking around (sometimes I get a little warm, thus I get oily and gross) I was there for 4 hours, then went with my dad to Sam's Club. NOT OILY AT ALL. NOT EVEN SHINY! AND none of the eyeshadows creased! I hopped in the shower when I got home but didnt wash my face, and all I looked like when I got out was..."dewy", not oily!

And to think I almost got suckered into the makeup (Bella Pierre) at the mall for over a hundred bucks! Not only to mention that their makeup seemed to magnify the big pores I have on the insides of my cheeks and t-zone. Not Flattering.

I've already told my mom about this makeup and how extremely happy I was to try it and save a bunch of money. I'll be placing an order for her soon to find her skin color.

I'm throwing away all my eyeshadows and possibly lipsticks and just about every cosmetic I have and replace it all with Aromaleigh Mineral Makeup.

This was when I first got home (about 6 hours of wear today)

This was after I had gotten out of the shower (7 or 8ish hours or wear)

Side shot, yes they were all from my phone camera, it sucks, haha.

Katelyn, welcome! We're all glad you found Aromaleigh!

Definitely, Aromaleigh works better than many pricier "brand" names, and with all the money you'll save, you can buy more Aromaleigh! There's so many products you'll want to try, and you can buy samples of most products first.

You have beautiful eyes, I can't wait to see some Face of the Day posts from you. There's loads of wonderful eyeshadow colors - from the soft and mild Eye Plush collection, to the vivid Sonic Rocks line. You'll find loads of colors you just can't live without, and perhaps find some new favorites as well.

The FOTD's, Weekly Challenges, and Galleries are all great sources of inspiration. You'll find everything from great everyday looks, special occasion ideas, glammed up looks, and some that are purely for fun!

hi k. I just started too not to long ago, and am really happy with all the colors and products that AL provides at a resonable price. check out the weekly sales to save more money too.

I think you look really pretty. I am glad that you can get your makeup to stay so long at work. I am jealous. I have supper oily tzone, and at work im lucky to even think out my makeup or even go to the bathroom to check it until 8-10 hrs into my shift at the hospital, needless to say im running around the whole day working up a sweat. SO unfortunately my eye makeup never stays. Hope you have more luck than me. Welcome.

Yes, I ordered a few samples earlier this week, just to see if which one or ones will work. Honestly, even with my breakouts the foundation alone seems to conceal pretty good.

and cinseven, once I get comfortable enough with using this makeup, I will probably be the biggest poster on the FOTD thread :]

and btw cin, I think you have the craziest most awesomest look...though I think I'd get fired if I did that. Hah. :/

Thanks! Luckily I've always worked at places that didn't really mind my appearance!
