I've had a pair of eyeshadows from Ultima II forever -- they are colors that just melt into my skin and look totally natural...but better. And since UII doesn't seem to exist anymore and I haven't had any luck finding shadows from other companies that match... I thought I'd mix up some Carolina Mattes to see if I could come close....
And I did!! Wee haw!

For the lid it's a mix (unmeasured, of course) of: seagrass, wheat, slate, and flaxen.

For the crease and as a soft liner: seagrass, wheat, slate, willow.

The results are perfectly toned shadows.

Doing the happy beauty dance!

Hennagirl, your mixes sound really pretty! Isn't it great when you find a mixture of colors in AL that recreates one of your favorite shades? I've had that experience recently with some lip colors, and I'm so happy b/c the quality of AL is far and away better than any other cosmetics I've used. And I've run the gamut from drugstore to pricey department store! I'm glad you found your matches. Smile

I'm definitely going to order some more Caro. Summer shades next time.

Glad you found your perfect mix.

I wore mattes today and it looked so good. I always ask myself later why I don't were mattes more often. They're so deep and delicious.

yay! its so fun to mix the perfect color!

i must need a matte tutorial. whenever i use mattes on my eyes, the color looks uneven. i seem to be able to blend non-mattes a lot better.
