This should probably go in Quick Combos but I was proud and wanted to share.

Today I took the advice I've been given to try a "scary" color (for me, cool color families like blue, green, purple) with a "safe/neutral" color. I did:

Persian Kitten on the lid and sheerly up to the brow; Shadow Witch in the crease. I blended the heck out of the Shadow Witch, bringing it up onto the browbone just a smidge. It needed a little more oomph so I added Drama Cocoa dry to line the upper lashline.



On the rest of the face I did Nectar rouge and Gossamer on the lips.



I couldn't decide between a warm and a cool color shirt, but then I decided to pull out my blue tank top and it was perfect! It matches my eyes and pops them out while kind of emphasizing that the blue shadow is, in fact, blue -- but not scary-blue, and not competing with my eyes.

Gossamer has been my favorite lippie this week. I just love the AL lippies.

Good for you for trying a color that is outside of your comfort zone! Sounds like a lovely combo. I am a giant sissy pink-o-phobe as far as eyeshadows go, and these ladies have helped me ease into "non-scary" pinks with their expert advice. I would also love to see pix if you ever do a look like this again.

That's too bad about the battery being dead. I would have loved to see a photo of this because it's sounds so beautiful.

Yay for being brave! It sounds like this combo looked really pretty on you. You'll have to dupe it for us when you get your battery replaced.
