Lately I have been trying lots of lighter colors to make me look less tired. The Satin Petals were on sale last week, and I decided to get Coriander. And my, is it pretty! It is not too green, it is not too silvery, just a very beautiful light satin-green shade that really brightens my eyes! I am so in love with this shade now!

I own most of the SP shades now, and I am thinking of getting a sample of Sweet Pea and Dandelion, those are the only ones of the highlighting shades I still down own. Those, and Lilypad, Amaryllis and Lisianthus are the only ones I am missing. Lilypad I might want to sample one day. I think Amaryllis and Lisianthus are not for me, I look sick with reddinsh/terracotta/wine shades.

This collections is definitely my favorite! =)

The Satin Petals are amazing! Foxglove is my absolute favorite color. It makes my blue eyes look bigger and brighter while still looking natural and simple. I love it!

I've sampled all of the non-matte AL shadows that claim to be a "taupe" shade, and Foxglove does seem to be the perfect taupe! While a warmer nude like Damask looks best with my warm, clear skintone, I do wear Foxglove on occasion when I'm in the mood for a cooler color. But you are right in that taupes are great for making blue eyes stand out, it does work well with my blue eyes! Smile Campanula's a good color if you are looking for a warmer light brown, but I think it's a tad bit darker than Foxglove.

Regarding Coriander ... I have a sample of that too, it is a very pretty color, but again it's a little too cool and/or greyish to look good on me. But it would be a staple for anyone who does like greens or light muted colors! Smile I've used my sample a few times paired with a darker green in the crease...

Aww, thanks, and I miss being active on the forum too! =) I am doing my best to at least browse through the topics every day to see what's going on.

Unfortunaterly I have developed a nasty eczema type of rash on my face: areas of my chin, nostrils and forehead between my brows are red and skin peels off daily. Not the best condition to try to snap photos of my newest AL shades. I'm hoping that if I just start going to bed REALLY early and getting lots of sleep, keeping myself hydrated and use Emu oil (I am so sorry poor emus, but I hear that this stuff is supposed to help!) I'll get my face fixed soon. I am using Voile 1YL these days and it covers the spots pretty nicely, exacp when they just peel off.

And this morning I tried on another new shade I just got: PH Adobe! That's SO PRETTY too! (I have yesterday and today off, nice! Except that yesterday morning I got a nasty migraine.. ) A bit golden, a bit beige, not too dark.. just WOW! Once I get my face fixed, I'll get photos of both Coriander and Adobe =)

Yes, Mint, welcome back. Smile

I hope you get rid of that nasty eczema. Eek If it doesn't clear up soon, get to a doctor ASAP. I had that very same problem and ended up going to a dermatologist, who put me on oral antibiotics to clear it up. My PCP also put me on 2 topical Rx medications--Finacea and Clindamycin--which I apply 2x/day. For a while, my PCP prescribed Elidel and Protopic creams (for eczema), but I was advised to quit using them when it was reported they may cause cancer.

My eye color is similar to yours, so I'd like to know what eyeshadow colors you like best. I saw your photo gallery; very impressive. Clap

Thanks! =) My list of favorites just keeps getting longer and longer, but let me try to name those that I use the most.

I really love wearing blues and blue-greens, and some of my favorites are:
Heaven, Dew & Robin's Egg PHs
Dolphin CS
Cosmos & Dawn Frosts

Pinkish shades and Lilacs are also wonderful:
Edie, Angelique & Pandora Lustres
Blossom MS
Hyacinth & Iris mattes

Some various Browns, Taupes and such that I also love are:
Circe Lustre
Foxglove, Verbena, Campanula SPs
Adobe PH

And then greenish/metallic/other favorites:
Basil & Coriander SPs
Virtue MS
Lichen & Agate PH

These shades I love wearing as single colors on my lid, if I have time I have a light shade like Oyster or marigold under brows and inner corner. I usually use either basic black as a liner, other favorites are Drama Blue, Drama Violet & Drama Teal, and Tidal wave & Marcasite Gel liners.

I try to stay away from reddish and orangeyish shades - shades Sienna, Helena & Wine, even Persephone make me look sick =(

I still have trouble deciding which ones are my absolute favorites, since there are so many gorgoeus ones out there.. =)

I was expecting a shorter list TeeHeeHee but Thanx

I wonder if there's anyone who doesn't like Coriander? It's one of my favs. Smile Absolutely gorgeous, IMO.

I presently have a lot of blue-greens in my wardrobe. The blue-greens bring out my eye color better than just about anything else, though I'm particularly fond of red and mango (not on my eyes, but as a clothing color). I'm wearing a red top today, paired with medium gray pants. With this outfit, Corset PR is my blush of choice. I'm wearing gray-khaki (taupe-like color) eyeliner and black mascara.

Lighter eyeshadow and eyeliner colors work best for me. The darker colors make my eyes look small and sunken. Not a good look!
