since the coquilles came out i have been experimenting with making my own finishing powders.sort of like guerlain meteorites.which is very expensive.they look like little multi colored pearls.they are meant to diffuse any imperfections and add light to the face because most womens skin is not just one flat color or perfect(unless your really lucky).so i usually mixed my own blend of almost all the coquilles in different quantities.i have tried it with silk powder primer(i have an oily t-zone)but it can sometimes be too chalky looking.i have also tried luminescence divine but if i am having a bad skin day it can make me look oily.so,long story short i was wondering if anyone has tried the illuminating finishing powder what the results were.also if anyone has tried the bronzer.i am trying to make my mix more for the summer so i don't want too much shimmer(aaah oil slick).the nectarine coquille has been great for warming up but maybe a dash of bronzer would be the ticket.somebody help this mad scientist!!

Several ladies here have tried a variation of "Jane's Mix" a finishing powder recipe from a fellow AL user/addict.

The Amazing "Jane's Addiction" Mix

Either use the recipe as a base and add whatever else you like to it and tweak til it fits your wants/needs, or use it as is. Either way is fantastic. This last batch I made I mixed in a bit of just about every other finishing powder in the store. You really can't go wrong with it.

The Ultra Res Finishing Powder in Clear or Translucent helps with the oil and isn't shimmery.

You might also look at some of the new finishing powders too . like Cherub or Angel.. mixing those in with coquilles works too.

I still make my Illuminator/coquille /Perle finsihing powder tho . the one mentioned in the prev . post.
I do try AL's new finsihing powders when they come out tho. I like Peaches and Cream for instance.. very lightly applied with a big fiber optic brush. It suits my coloring quite nicley..

Too much silk powder is drying for my skin. I use more Illuminator pwd , say 4-5 parts ,1 part each of the coquilles. And if I do add say a Bronzer or Perle I add a little at the time till I get it where it looks good on me..
