I thought it would be fun and interesting to have a thread in which we check in daily or whenever and report what we wore that day(granted that it is different from day to day). Or just drop in once or twice with a favorite combination.
This would be a database of quick ideas for different combinations especially with eye colors. If you have pictures to share you could put them in Face of the Day, or if you have an exceptionally notable look start a new discussion. Just make it quick and simple should take no more than a minute a day. Thanks to all who participate! Example follows.

Smile The idea is not to get wrapped up in technique, this is for color purposes and ideas.
How many colors do you use in one day? WOW!
Just for you, bb, I will give you 5 minutes.

Last night I actually locked myself in the bathroom, broke out my 50+ samples I have, and tested them all side my side on my hand/arm to see what colors would work as "quick combos"...

My easiest one is:
Eyes: Baby frost/gilt frost with brown eyeliner and black mascara
Cheeks: Rosewood blush (new fave!)
Lips: Saffron lippie

No matter what though... I could never take 5 minutes... it usually takes a minimum of 15 to get my makeup on, and about two hours total to get ready for the day (from when I get up to when I walk out the door).

What I meant was 1 minute (or 5 minutes for bluesblonde Wink) to write up your post, not to apply your makeup, I take at least 20-30 min for that! ROFLMAO What I am after is quick glace color ideas. What I am wearing today:

Eyes: Damask Frost(lid), Campanula SP(crease), Alchemy PH(under brow)
Liner: Tanzanite
Cheeks: Beauteous
Finishing Powder: Magnolia Blossom
Lips: Bella lipgloss

Thanks for all the combos so far, they sound great! Keep them coming!

Melissa

I just saw this thread and it cracked me up. Melissa - I totally thought you only took a minute to put on your makeup. I was going to give you props, girl! I take a minimum of 20 minutes Smile

Glad you clarified that! Smile

Currently, I have a naked face, so I cannot add to the list...yet.

Ya know, I am so tired in the morning that I usually have no idea exactly what colors I am applying. I have been known to wear unmatched shoes to work, unmatched clothing, forget to put on mascara. The problem is that if I get distracted in the a.m. I am sunk, so from the time I wake up, I'm like a bullet aimed out the door to get to work. THEN I HAVE COFFEE and look to see if everything matches and what makeup I put on. Names of eyeshadows? Way beyond my morning capabilities. Something goldish and I figured out after I got to work that I used the teal drama queen eyeliner as a shadow today. Hmmm.... Cheeks: PINK YAD and "something pink" as a lipstick. I'm just fascinated with all of you guys because you must be pretty functional in the a.m. and you sure do know your AL colors!!!!

Pinky

60 yrs old, darkish reddish-brown hair, very pale skin with both some yellow and a lot of pink undertones with a big bunch of goldish FRECKLES - 1C/1CL or 2N Voile, amber eyes, all-purpose warm-cool, summer-winter-fall-spring look. Love pinks and roses.

Cool idea!
Today:
Eyes: Suede on lid, cocoa bean in crease and v
Liner: old AL smoooothe liner pencil in Obsidian
Two coats black mascara
Cheeks: Halo perle
Lips: Rave lip gloss over burgundy non AL lip liner used to line and fill

Brown hair, brown eyes, tan very easily. Currently using 2W glissade foundation, w/PINK CREAM CONCEALER and PC3 or neutral dark concealer for a great undereye and age spot concealer, and also adore the Elemental Lustre Cheek Glistens and Metamorphosis; never go to bed without first using Nocturne

The PINK CREAM CONCEALER IS A MIRACLE PRODUCT - DO NOT leave home without it Wink

ROFLMAOSorry, Pinky, you just crack me up! ROFLMAO When you say unmatched shoes, do you literally mean they don't match or they don't match with what you are wearing?!
Sometimes I am stumped as what color of blush to wear. It has been months since I had a good mixing fit/fix so yesterday I got all my Perles and Blushes out, used the tiniest scoop I have and took a 1/2 scoop from each pot or sample of each color, shook them up in a little jar....turned out a darned-good nutral/warm color. Rich, so a little goes a long ways. Too light for a lippie color but not if I use a darker-than-my-lips lipliner first. My youngest daughter told me how pretty I looked last night. Do you suppose because I was wearing ALL my colors?! Wink
I do not encourage this behaviour, but I was desperate for a good mixing. Kathy

My quick 'n' easy, everyday look for work is a single neutral color on my lid, a brow highlighter, and Daphne (a good nude for me) applied in between the crease and brow to help blend things together. On rare occasions I'll add a crease color. I also stick to pencil eyeliners (though another brand) for weekdays. (Almost always the same medium brown color, too.) On weekends when I have extra time, I'll play with wetlining AL products Smile

Today I did actually add a crease color, but it was too similar to my lid color so it didn't really show up much Frown But I wore:

Crease: Circe
Lid: Foxglove
Brow highlighter: Moon
Between crease and brow: Daphne
Eyeliner: medium brown pencil
Black mascara
Cheeks: Rosette

I don't wear a lippie on a regular basis, too lazy to reapply Wink

This weekend I did a fun, bright look that was also quick and easy. This is actually my favorite weekend look, and hubby's too Wink I wanted to take a picture but forgot.... but I wore:

Lucky over most of lid
Moon just in the inner corner of the lid
Moon also as brow highlighter
Daphne in between crease and Moon
Wetlined with Drama Teal
Black mascara
Cheeks: Nectar

I promise my next post in this thread will be shorter since I have my explanations out of the way Smile

Oh. Yesterday I wore:
EyesRazzrimer....pink concealer
liner...similar to scuba dive (I am buying it this week along with several other gel liners!)
eyelid color....foiled Fox
crease color....Bouganvillea
Blush....my all-colors mix
Lips....slightly-darker-than-natural-lips lipliner with blush color mixed with lip balm
I have to admit it was a well balanced look. Kathy

I am too perfectionist/obsessive-compuslive to NOT pay attention to what colors I use Wink Plus, I eat breakfast and take a shower before doing mu so that wakes me up too...

Plus, normally as soon as I decide what clothes to wear, I immediately start going thru my mental inventory of makeup and deciding what color to wear. If not a specific color, then at least a "category" of similar colors and I'll work out the details when I do my mu Wink

Today I was really annoyed though, because I do my makeup and hair before I get dressed, and I was planning on wearing a dark, cool pink shirt so I wore cool makeup colors. But after I did my makeup, I realized that shirt was in the laundry! I didn't have anything similar clean, so I had to wear a warm orange shirt instead. I'm sure no one else even notices, but I notice that my makeup is cool but my clothes are warm Frown While I don't always match exact colors, I at least match warm/cool!

What the..???! How did that little sickey face get in my last post...it is suppose to be *primer* (is there a little naughty elf lerking?!) AND, I might say, the pink cream concealer makes a great eyelid primer! So there! Kathy

It's allllll about doing the prep work the night before, baby! I literally plan my clothes and makeup...and these days, I'm digging out my little sample jewels and laying them out on the counter, too, so I don't have to dig in the a.m. Planning is one mack daddy of a stress reliever! TeeHeeHee

You probably forgot the space between the ":" and the "P" Smile

I just had a sudden mental image ... if I did this, my cats would spread those baggies all over the room, probably tear them up and coat the bathroom with beautiful rainbow splatters of AL eyeshadow! lol That's why I keep all my mu locked up in traincases or drawers Wink

When I plan my makeup ahead, I just usually make a mental list, it works for me ...
