Picture Heavy!!

You may not know this, but my partner and I are big into history recreation. Predominantly we stick with Queen Elizabeth I's time frame. But lately I've been 'straying' to England's teenage years of the late 1300's early 1400's. So, to validate my reasoning to make garb from this timeframe, I decided to incorporate it into my Halloween costume. I decided to add a wood nymph twist to it since my cote hardi (outer dress) is a green shade. Anyhoo... here's the makeup that I came up with and the garb to go with it.

Eyes:
E/s primer in light
Carbon indelible shadow as a base to where I wanted color
Dragon over the lid
Tangleroot on outer wing/leaf things
Hibiscus, Velvetgoldmine, and Gleam to finish off right eye
Seed Pearl to highlight above and below art and across bridge of nose
Marcasite to line upper and lower lashes
Morgaine with sealant to line everything

Right eye:

Left eye:

All together:

So there it is. I even made the wire circlet with hanging leaves that I wore.

Hope you all had a great Halloween; and to those that went T-o-Ting, hope you brought in a good load!

That is so cool looking!!

I love that green colour on you, too. And I'm jealous of the circlet.

I'd love to do the historical reenactments. It looks SO FUN.

This is an awesome look! Everything about it - the costume, the makeup, the circlet, is fabulous! Did you make the dress yourself?

Thanks ladies!

Mirmaidbird: Yes, I made the dress myself. I've been sewing for 15+ years now... and lately I've been doing a lot of period recreation stuff; mostly English Renaissance stuff (Queen Elizabeth I era) but I'm soon going to work on Victorian stuff as well.

If anyone's interested and has a Facebook account, you can find me and pics of previous work here: http://www.facebook.com/home.p...49470799&ref=profile

I just added you. So if some freaky zombie/vampire thing is asking to friend you, that's me. xD

I wish I could sew. I'd have about a million corsets though, so it might be good that I can't.

Oh, but corsets are fun and easy to make! Er... at least the renn ones are... Erika was working on a Victorian underbust but only got as far as putting the fabric pieces together... hmm.. maybe I should become a corsetier to fend off this jobless-ness that I'm experiencing right now...
