So I was playing around with pin curls to go with my Halloween costume since my hair is uber-straight and won't really hold anything without atomic powered hair products. That got me into looking at other early period hair styles and I came across finger waves (I'll add a pic later on). So I wanted to see if I could re-create the look since it seemed pretty straight-forward. Granted my hair is no longer as short as it used to be to pass off as a bob.. but I think the results that I got were pretty good for a first try... For the eyes I wanted to go with a neutral look cause I'm just not really feeling color today.

E/s primer in light
Circeon lid
Suede from crease to brow very lightly to highlight
Thalia's Return in crease and blended out to outer 1/3 of brow and over outer 1/3 of lid
Cocoa Bean along upper lash line and on outer corner of lid to darken
liquid liner in charcoal
black pencil to tight line lower lash
mascara

Here's what finger waves look like:

Here's my look based off of them:

Granted, imo, they get the best effect on short hair. Though there are examples of them on long hair. Also, I really wasn't feeling ambitious to go all the way around my head on my first try... TeeHeeHee

Very pretty! I love the way you applied your liner and these are a few of my favorite colors. My hair will natuarally wave like that. It always reminds me of the old forty's movies. Not quite as wavy as the photo you showed.

Gorgeous! This is the sort of look I'd go for if warm tones worked for me!

Also, one tip about finger waves. SATURATE your hair with the styling gel. See how wet her hair looks in the photo? That's how you do them generally. It looks like you have somewhat straight hair as well, so I'd suggest maybe putting them in pin curls the night before?
