What is the difference and in what cases would you use each?

Thanks!

Hi, Maddy - I can't speak to the chemistry differences between the two, but can to the makeup differences. The Titanium Dioxide is going to be a more opaque white and also is a physical sunblock. It will lighten a color the way white paint lightens a dark one - and it will make it more opaque. The Mica Serecite is a translucent powder that can sheer out a blend as well as lighten it a bit.

I hope someone else pops in here to offer more info for you, too!

My coloring - Fair, naturally curly dark red hair, freckles (light golden), combo to oily skin, use 1W Glissade and/or Voile, although I can and have worn 1Y, 1Y/L, and 1Y/L/00 at different times. Would describe my coloring as neutral - not a classic Autumn, not really a Winter, maybe more of a Late Fall?

Thanks, Bridget!

I'm wondering, then, if the mica would be good for mixing multi-colored shadows? I've not experimented with mixing yet---want to start....muhahahahah
