Hi ladies,

If you are having any difficulties with any *specific* pages (URLS) at Aromaleigh.com... for instance, you cannot get a page to display properly, or load properly, or a page quits your browser, etc, etc...

Please post the following information here so that we can try to troubleshoot it:

What exact page you were trying to view:
product, exact url, etc.

What type of computer you are using, what operating system you have (Windows, Mac and the release #) and what Browser- for instance, Firefox, Safari, Netscape, Internet Explorer.

Any other pertinent details you think might apply.

The more information you can provide, the better. We are on Macs at Aromaleigh, so we cannot "see" what you "see" on a Windows machine. We cannot recreate the errors, etc. So we will need your assistance in seeing if the changes we've made to any page in attempting to fix any problems you're having have actually occurred... because on our end, the website works perfectly on all of our Macs!

Please feel free to post any broken navigation, broken links, etc.

Thank you!

Kristen

OK, someone posted this already on the forum a little ways back. I am working with Windows XP, using IE 7.0 and I get an "Operation Aborted" message when I try to click on the link to the "Madeleine" fragrance (this occurs on both the sale page and the fragrance section links). Then the page gives me an IE error "cannot display the page" (kicks me off to a white screen with that message).

I did not try it with a different browser since I use IE all the time. Someone on the forum said it does work if you try other browsers. Everything else works great for me! Thanks!

Sorry sorry sorry for posting on the blog first instead of here... I got ahead of myself, DOH! Wink

I tried going to the Madelaine page just for kicks and here is what I found:

I am using IE version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254 (whew what a version number!), and Windows XP version 2002 with SP2.

When I click on the link for the Madelaine page (from the sidebar menu OR from the sale link on the home page), the Madelaine page does appear but I immediately get a message box with the message:

"Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site http://www.aromaleigh.com/madeleine.html.
Operation aborted"

The Madelaine page is visible behind the message box and stays visible as long as the message box is visible. The message box steals focus so all I can do is click OK on the message -- there is no Details button or any other buttons or info. The title bar of the message box just says "Microsoft Internet Explorer". So if I click OK, then the Madelaine page disapears and it redirects me to IE's generic "Cannot Find Server" page.

When I click Back from the Cannot Find Server Page, it takes me back to the Madelaine page (which is visible again) and the error appears again. If I click OK I'm back to the Server Not Found Page. So if I want to get out of the "loop", I have to click the down arrow on the back button and go back 2 pages!

Alternatively, if while on the Server Not Found page, if I click Refresh, I then see the Madelaine page with the same message box again.

I do not get this error when using FireFox version 2.0.0.12 on the same computer.

Hopefully that is not too confusing...

Yes, Girl_Geek put in all the details, that is exactly what I saw (and it's happened every time I've tried to access the Madeleine pages... since end of Feb.). Thanks Girl_Geek for all the complete details! Big Grin

Ooh - me too! IE Explorer v 6, XP os, sony vaio computer.

Need to update explorer - new computer with older oem software...

I'll let Michael do that stuff, though. Don't want to "touch his levels," to quote Samuel L Jackson in (Jackie Brown? Pulp fiction? Can't remember...)

My coloring - Fair, naturally curly dark red hair, freckles (light golden), combo to oily skin, use 1W Glissade and/or Voile, although I can and have worn 1Y, 1Y/L, and 1Y/L/00 at different times. Would describe my coloring as neutral - not a classic Autumn, not really a Winter, maybe more of a Late Fall?

I made some changes to the madeleine page... remember, everything loads fine for me so I can't reproduce any of your page aborts.

Care to check and see if it works?

Thanks!

I can't move products directly from my wishlist to my shopping cart. When I'm in my wishlist, and click the "add to cart" button, I get the following:

Error: order.store.yahoo.com is not a valid URL. Please point all checkout actions to order.store.yahoo.net

You have encountered a file path that is no longer valid. Please contact the store merchant to continue with your order and to report this error.

I have to click "view this item", go to the item page and put it in my cart from there.

I have a PC w/Windows XP and browse w/Firefox 3.0.6.

Hi, I blogged about this a few days ago. It is a tech issue that our programmers are working on.

So, for the timebeing, wishlist items can't be added to cart through your "my account", You'll have to go to that product's page and add the items traditionally.

Sorry!

Kristen
