After trying a few eyeshadow colors from the Rocks! collection, I made the jump completely from the makeup I was using before to Aromaleigh. I used an odd complement of products from a drugstore mineral brand and another drugstore brand, and while I didn't have any complaints, I have no realized that's because I had no idea what I was missing! Aromaleigh works wonderfully on my fair, sensitive, acne-prone skin. I have serious health problems, and like knowing exactly what is going on my skin, and also, down the sink drain at night and back into the environment.

I could stand on the soapbox for awhile, but let's just get on with the pictures, shall we? Here's my before:

I'm a little washed out, but there is some darker acne scarring along my cheekbones, circles under my eyes, and a little splotchiness that I aim to minimize with my makeup. I don' t need to mask my skin completely, just smooth it. I did my normal acne regimen, and put the foundation on after putting the antibiotic lotion on.

Here's the after:

I use 1WL Glissade for my foundation, and have found I no longer need to use a concealer stick as the Glissade gives me enough coverage. I used Iwantcandy and Blackplanet from the Rocks! collection mixed with the Indelible Eyeliner Sealant on my eyes, and an SPF chapstick I mixed myself on my lips. I didn't believe the eyeliner sealant would work when I first used it, but my eye makeup lasts through rain and naps on the couch (my epic naps are guaranteed to ruin other cosmetics). I use the touch up compact sold here to carry a little foundation around, and find I need very little primping throughout the day.

I am so pleased with the assortment or eyeshadow colors. I am not a brown and beige eyeshadow person - and Aromaleigh lets me try out new colors on a whim. I am not exaggerating when I say I get complimented on my eye makeup almost every day, the colors are so fun and vibrant.

I'm a student, working for my university for peanuts, and like I said, fairly ill, so I don't have a great deal of money to spend. Not only is Aromaleigh well-priced, but so much more bang for my buck than other cosmetics I've tried. The eyeliner sealant lasted me 5 months, with me using it every single day. The quality and quantity of the product coupled with the great customer service and knowing I am supporting a conscientious and US-based company has me sold for life. Thanks so much!

I agree with the others... such a fresh and pretty look. Thanks for sharing your B & A.

And I also agree with your sentiments about AL exactly— totally blows away the drugstore stuff!

Welcome to the forum!

you are so pretty, with or without the makeup!
I like how you used a bright pretty eye color but it doesn't look scary at all (and it makes your eyes really stand out)

I always worry when trying a bright shade - but I think it works well as long as I don't go overboard and cover my whole face with it. Thanks so much!

Aw, thanks! Smile I go to the University of Michigan, and am studying English Renaissance lit. Which is incredibly nerdy, but fun. I get my artsy fartsy in as an editor for the school's literary and fine arts journal. Smile

You're doing something that is much closer to my heart than what I am currently studying (English literature). I've been dying to get into a medieval studies program and get a doctorate in medieval English literature.

Who is your favorite Renaissance writer?

P.S. - You look absolutely gorgeous - before and after! Acne? I don't see it. Smile
