So this is what I look like before I put on AL:

And this is what I look like after:

Foundation: Glissade 1YL
Blush: Corset
Lipstick: Melancholia

I know my eyeliner is really thick. Like I've said before, I have tremors. It makes applying eyeliner and mascara really fun. Smile

I can't wait to start doing FOTD's. I just need to start buying samples of eye shadows. I tell you all, I have no clue where to start! Any suggestions are welcome.

First of all, I'm so happy to see your wonderful smile! Isn't it great when you KNOW your skin looks good!

Love the whole package - the foundation, the blush, the lippy! And the liner looks fine, it doesn't look crooked or anything. Besides, as you experiment more & more you'll learn different techniques that will help you compensate for any tremors.

Now we can all start bombarding you with shadow suggestions!!!! My two top picks for you would be Tapestry (Opulent Lustre) and StillinHollywood (Sonic Rocks). No goth girl can be without a good black & a nice purple.

Looks great, I love Corset and Melancholia on you! And even if the liner's thick, you did a great job of keeping it even so it still looks like you did it on purpose Smile

I second Cin's suggestion of stillinhollywood -- it's an amazing purple that magically looks great on every skintone! Smile I rarely wear black but I'm partial to Rocks blackcelebrations myself Smile

Also, do you like reds and burgundies? Torment Elemental Lustre is an amazing red! Depending on how you apply it, it can be nice and subtle or bold and dramatic! I bet it would really make your blue-green eyes pop!

I'm not sure how you like to wear your eye makeup, but if you ever want a sheer application of a color I suggest the Fiber Optic brushes. The Ultra Cute brush is nice and small and I bet it would be good for allowing you to get a sheer application even with trembling hands!

I know exactly what you mean. I have tremors in my right arm and hand (my dominant one) and it can be a kick getting eyeliner where it is supposed to go. I've been using a couple of the Drama liners with the push liner brush. Oops, a dab under my eyebrow, a little on my nose. Hey, Anna, maybe we can start a new look.

Your skin looks great. Corset is very pretty on you and I love Melancholia. Use it all the time.

You are going to have so much fun experimenting with eyeshadows. I can't wait to hear what shades others suggest for you.

I think you're right! I use a pencil liner (want to try the gel liners because they might go on smoother than a pencil), and when I am applying it I have to hold my right hand (dominant hand) with my left hand and rest my left hand on my cheek. And I still tremble. It's frustrating. I think we should start new looks. We could call it the "LindAnna Freckle" look! Smile

Anna~As a pencil girl, and a shaky as well, I have to say that the gel liner is definitely worth a try.

It went on so smoothly, and I honestly didn't have to take a q-tip and fix my mess this morning.

Make-up and hair are a pain for me most days, but probably for different reasons. My hands are usually pretty shaky as at is, but holding my arms up shoulder length and higher for any amount of time required for either, and my hands weaken and I tend to drop things, lol. Don't trust me with breakables. Ever.

I actually think the black lined look is pretty for you, as you have very light colored eyes. (I LOVE that blue!)

And I really can't say enough good things about the lip. I love the sheer red/pinks that Miss K has here, and I do believe she's got at least 2 more loyal customers out of us Big Grin.

I totally agree! My three favorite colours are black, purple, and green. So those are the primary shadows I'll be looking at, but I'm definitely open to other colours as well. It seems a few people have suggested wine/burgundy colours, which I think might be fun to play with. I'm looking forward to experimenting with all of these colours.

I'm just trying to figure out how I should store all of these samples that I plan on buying. I'm thinking a huge three-ring binder with those nine-pocket sheets made for baseball cards.

The binder w/baseball card sheets is popular....some ladies (myself included) use the slide protector sheets.

The only dilemma is HOW to organize - by color, or by collection? I used to do by color, but changed them a couple months ago to collection.

Where do you buy the slide protector sheets from? I've done a google search, but I am not quite sure what it is I am looking for, or where the best deal is.

I got my slide protectors from Staples:

http://www.staples.com/office/...upplies_10051_SEARCH

You will have to fold the sample baggies to fit them in the slots, but you can fold them right at the ziplock seal and it's perfect. And you can fit a lot more samples on one page than with the trading card sheets Big Grin

Hi Anna,

Keep in mind the size of the squares that will hold the samples when you're deciding which size sample holder to purchase. I have heard that you have to fold over the samples to make them fit the slide protector size holders but since I don't use that kind, I'm not speaking from experience. However, I do have the trading card size pages and the samples fit well into each slot. Only drawback is each page only holds 9 samples whereas the slide pages hold 20. Here are some photos to help you with your decision.

P.S. I got my trading card pages from Wal-Mart for under $2 for a pack of 10 pages.

Here is a post from momof2angels showing her samples in slide sheets. She just lets the top of the ziplock stick out the top of each slot:

http://aromaleighaficionadas.i...891093323#6891093323

I fold the tops and down and slide the sample baggie in sideways. The stiff ziplock seal makes it easier to slide the baggies in and out of the slots if they are sideways like that! And the bags fold right at the seal, so you can still easily see the label (even though the text is sideways!)

And here is a blog post on the topic:
