Hello! So I am no expert at this stuff, but here it goes...

Bare face:

and after!

Anyways Smile, after the bare face, next, cream concealer under eyes (yellow then peach), warmish level 2 foundation mixed with silk, URFP clear, Porcelain, Metamorphosis, marcasite lightly in brows (sorry for the stray brow hair, always forget a/b that!)

So this is the first step, and I could stop here if I wanted if I added a lid shade. Applied cream shadow in nude frost, then cupid matte all over (would have done light white/blue matte if I had that). Then I did the crease with midnight matte with a brush like this brush (would have done this as a last step after applying lid color, except in this case the lid color is an elemental lustre, and these don't take kindly to blending a matte crease color over them). Lined my eyes lightly with marcasite, not going all the way to the insides on either top or bottom, with the line being wider to the outside of my lid, and tapering off towards the inside.

Yay, the last steps! Applied swank EL all over lid area with a fiber optic brush like this (did several layers). Blended up a bit into crease. Used the fiber optic brush to apply pewter PH to the crease and above to blend out the crease a bit. Used a fiber optic brush to lightly apply fume EL to the inside 1/3 of lid. Lightly wet lined the inside 1/2 top of the lid with fume with a brush like this, and lightly wet lined a bit of the inside bottom lid with pewter. Highlighted the top of my brow bone right under the brow with a matte white shadow. Blush is rocks! taintedlove and wildflower, lips are blankgeneration and smitten. Generic black/brown mascara.

Hope you all like it!

P.S.
I really liked rocks! adrenochrome in place of fume...but I didn't think it would photograph well. But adrenochrome takes this look from classy to party!

I love seeing these "transformation" type looks with all of the in between steps. It is so fun to see how each look changes.I also loves these blues on you.I have been wanting to get swank forever but somehow haven't gotten around to it.Now I must have it!!I also have to say your application skills get better every time you post! This eye is perfectly blended but not over blended.

Thanks Melissa! Yes, each application gets a bit easier Smile And I've learned a lot by being on this forum. However, I can't ever get the crease just right yet...I need an angled or pointed crease brush, which I don't have yet. Luckily, no one notices from a social distance! Swank is awesome. It would look great just by itself as a smokey-ish eye since it has so much dimension.

Thanks Bridget! Well those are two of my fav. lippies Big Grin. And thank you chickie! I hope you try this look out too! Nah, nowhere tonight, but I always like practicing before I actually have to wear something for real. Hopefully I'll have more reasons to go out once I am back in school...

Thanks Staci! I never thought of doing a smokey eye in any other color than black, but when I saw a blue smokey eye in one of the pic.s Kristen posted, I thought, must do!

Aww, thank you so much Naomi! Eehh, my eyes are ok, but I think it is really just the makeup application. Plus they can be really small and puny when I wake up and they are all swollen from allergies! This is them after several hours to wake up Wink

Oh cool! It's unusual, but often unusual things can look very very good! It's also pretty how you managed to find a cooler toned color that works well on you.

Thanks Staci! I tend to like unusual, but wearable unusual Wink Yes, actually my go-to colors consist of cool and warm tones. The cool ones being cool purple and navy blue. Hmm, actually I don't have any go-to true warm colors. I have to be very careful about warm tones, b.c. anything too orangey or coppery on my eyes can look off!

Your eyes are beautiful! The icy colours do look quite unexpected with your warm eyes, but it somehow works, and works well. The lippie mix is soooo your colour!

Thanks very much!

Yeah, I usually can't wear fume on its own. However, this is a trick I learned at AL-- wear a color you can't normally wear with one you can, and make sure the two look good together on there own. I look great in navy clothes and great in navy shadow depending on what I wear, so the navy helps the silver to work. Silver is cool toned, navy is neutral or coolish depending on who you ask and goes with the silver. Plus, both colors really contrast with my warm green eyes which creates a nice pow factor (bringing out the green)!

But this is obviously a nighttime look that would be toned down during the day... In other words, I might line with swank and do a light wash of fume during the day.
