Hey everyone,

I just started using Aromaleigh products and thought I'd post my early attempts with them. These are a couple of pictures that were saved on Photobucket when my hard drive died, and they're all I have at the moment.

This is a before, with no makeup (seen in my introduction post). These weren't taken the same day, but in the same place with similar lighting conditions.

And after:

I'm not totally happy with my application in this picture, but I think it turned out alright for a first attempt. I used the light-medium primer (which did a really nice job matting out my skin), then metamorphosis (loved it) and applied voile 1N with a damp sponge. I wasn't sure if that's the proper technique, but it seemed to work. I also used a little bit of voile 00 along my jawline and on top of my cheekbones to make the hollows more of a contrast. Then I used a little bit of cashmere blush, although it doesn't really show up in the picture. For the eyes, I just brushed on a little bit of "seaglass" and lined with "lillith".

I also used "lite" concealer, which I had to use in very small amounts, because it was a little too light. I think I may try the pink since I've heard a lot of positive comments about it.

I haven't had a chance to experiment with eye colors too much, but I love all the different options.

You did an awesome job with the application. You're so pretty you could go without foundation. The color you chose is great because it makes what you have naturally even softer. I look forward to seeing more FOTDs from you!

This is a lovely example of a before and after. I think your application is just fine - it's often difficult to get the blushes to show up in pictures, so I wouldn't worry about that.

Were you planning on using the pink concealer for dark circles? That's what most of us use it for. There are also some other options like Rose Coquille, or the Pink Frost cream eyeshadow (believe it or not, this one works well for me). Smile

You look lovely, thanks for sharing the pics!

There are tons of options for dark circles -- some people find that peach or peachy-pink concealors work better than straight pink (since peach cancels out blue tones). I personally use just a touch of Lite Cream Concealor, which is a fairly close match to my skintone but doesn't quite cancel out all the blue. Then I top it with a mix of Coquille in Rose and Nectarine to cancel out the blue and finish it up Smile

thanks, everyone! Yes, I do have problems with dark circles. It doesn't matter how much sleep I get. I think it's just that my skin is so translucent the blood vessels show through. But I appreciate all of your positive comments. Smile

I will definitely try out some of the other concealers. Do you use the Coquilles alone or on top of a cream concealer?

I like to put a very light layer of pink cream concealer followed by a light layer pure cover #5 or my foundation. For me, cream concealer alone is too dewy, but a powder alone is too dry so I need to combine. The coquilles do tend to cover well without a base concealer, same as the pure cover. The cream concealer can give the powders something to cling to.
On this type of thing you just need to experiment with different combinations.
I think that you should try the pink cream concealer and/or the pink or nectarine coquille.
Pink cream concealer is a HG product for many here!

You can order samples of the coquilles. I found my fave combination is a bit of cream concealer dusted with a bit of pink coquille. Lately I've been using the nectarine coquille b/c I've freckled up a lot this summer and think the nectarine is better with my warmer toned skin.
