Hi Ladies,

I just got my flocked sponge - I love the little case it comes in. Can some of you please let me know how you use it? Do you use it damp and apply foundation do you use it dry and apply foundation? Help, please!

Thanks!!

Kim

I use it dry, personally. I never even thought about using it damp. I'm curious to see other's responses as well now! Wink

i use the AL flocked sponge dry too... although i have another sponge very similar to it that i prefer to use damp for heavier coverage. i just run it under water for a sec, ring out any excess (i usually press it against a dry towel), pick up some foundation, and smooth it over my face. it works great either way.

I use mine dry - covers pores nicely. It works well if you let your facial moisturizer soak in for about 15-20min.

I apply my foundation dry with a kabuki brush and then pat pat pat all over (especially in the t-zone) with the flocked sponge. It really reduces the visibility of my pores rather than using the kabuki alone. I have used the flocked sponge by itself and that gives great coverage. However, I find it's faster for me to apply all over with a kabuki first and then finish with the sponge.

I use it dry, to apply foundation in the T zone, and also to pat down the high res finishing powder after dusting it on with a fiber optic brush. I have an extra from somewhere else (which is not nearly as high quality as the one AL sells) that I use for Nocturne.

custom mix of: voile/glissade 1YL-2YL plus a bit of Lilas Coquille. Green eyes, Dark purple/brown/black hair, freckles. Current faves: Bella, Sinisterrouge, and Luminary!

Throw the rules and the "shoulds" out the window. This here's a free-for-all. People use the flocked sponge wet AND dry. Depends on the kind of look you want. I have used it in the past to just do a final "blend" after I have put everything on my face. Others use it to apply - either wet or dry - the flocked sponge tends to be a bit heavier for application. and some people just don't like cosmetic brushes all that much - which is me - for various reasosns, sos the flocked sponge is a good alternative.

Experiment!!!!
