Ok, so I've been googling like crazy on how to press mineral makeup foundation (see my other thread here) and I think I've come up with a plan. (Quite possibly a crazy, CRAZY plan, but a plan nonetheless!)

Now on to my question...

How many of you on here have ordered the compact that Kristen sells? Do you like it? (I'm sure that's an automatic yes just because Kristen sells it, but still... Big Grin)

Also, how does the flocked sponge that comes WITH the compact compare to the flocked sponge that we can all buy here separately?

My skin is extremely sensitive, and if the flocked sponge that comes with the compact isn't as nice as the 'regular' flocked sponges that K sells, then quite honestly I'd rather save my money and stock up on some of K's regular flocked sponges.

Feedback is appreciated! (And Kristen, YOU sell this stuff, so if you have any input on this, please give it to me!)

Thanx

I'm quite pleased with my compact. The mirror is a good size and the compact seems sturdy. It never leaks, and the sponge is good quality. It's not quite as sponge-y as the regular flocked sponge, but is very velvety and soft. I tend to use my regular flocked sponge all the time at home because it's replaceable. I save the one with the compact to use when I'm actually out with the compact.

Oh, and just in case it's part of your plan Wink-
I don't think you'd be able to use the compact with pressed powder. It's definitely designed for loose, as it has a built-in sifter.

custom mix of: voile/glissade 1YL-2YL plus a bit of Lilas Coquille. Green eyes, Dark purple/brown/black hair, freckles. Current faves: Bella, Sinisterrouge, and Luminary!

The compact and it's flocked sponge are wonderful. The compact doesn't leak and is much easier to use than those sold by competitors. I keep one in my desk drawer at school (I'm a teacher) with my foundation mix in it for touch-ups on those days when I have a runny nose (as kleenex takes foundation with it), and I keep one in my purse with illuminator. The sponge in the compact applies the foundation as well as the flocked sponge I use at home.

Hope this helps.
