Just in time for Spring... I've now found the perfect cheek/lip combo for a lovely fresh, bright but not too made-up face for me: Corset and Melancholia! With my skintone, it works best if I apply a light dusting of foundation on top of Corset. This makes Corset more matte (good for my oily skin!) and tones it down from bright red "clown cheeks" to a more subtle natural glow! Then Melancholia on the lips gives me such a lovely, fresh, natural pink/red stain -- it's so sheer that it that it warms up on my warm skintone and just gives my lips a nice fresh color! (Wallflower also works quite well for MLBB look that's clear and bright but not too bright!)

Pair with your favorite neutral or subtly-colored eyeshadow for a great MFBB (My Face But Better) look! Smile

So what is everyone else's favorite combos for a fresh, natural, Springy look?

Wow, that sounds really pretty together!

Yesterday I combined Allure Infusion Lipgloss with Pinafore Color Cream that looked really good and then I put Nectar on my cheeks.

I also like Verve cheek color with Charm on my lips.

Let's see...Enamor with Nectar...Femmefatale with Zest...Breathless or Dolly with Smitten or Buzz.

Currently I'm pairing glorious on my cheeks with pinafore on the lips, matching eye shadows to colors I'm wearing that day. When I'm wearing something with some orange in it I like to wear verve on cheeks and wallflower on lips. Melissa I loved that combo you did in your last FOTD.

Age 54, I use 2WL voile, porcelaine, tarnish pure hue for eyebrows and eyeliner. My hair is auburn (Henna), eyes brown, skin fair. oily T zone.

This is a great topic! My favorite "my face but better" combo is as follows:

1. Drama Cocoa eyeliner
2. A blend of "Wheat" matte e/s and Elemental Lustre "Spark" applied with the f/o brush
3. one coat of brown/black mascara
4. regular application of concealer under eyes, powder on face with kabuki
5. "Cashmere" pure rouge applied with f/o brush
6. "Minty Times Two" lip balm

The end effect looks very natural and pretty. My Grandma commented on how pretty my makeup looked tonight (I had the above combo on), and said "You must have the best makeup in the world." Yup, I'd have to agree...Aromaleigh is the best!

hmmmmm, i wish i could say i had a mfbb but i don't. although when spring/summer come i usually tend to go brighter, like wearing dahlia lipstick instead of infrared and marron... and i wear red and bright purple eyes like tempted, taintedlove, helterskelter or boilingpoint & spellbound with obsession or peony instead of deeper muted shades with lots of black.

Girl_Geek, Corset & Melancholia are two of my favorites, I bet they look fantastic paired! I'll have to try soon.

Currently, my MFBB is pretty simple. Foundation mix, Lite CC under eyes, Metamorphosis lightly all over, Ethereal PR, & Flaxen all over eye area to brighten & make me look like I got a good night's sleep. Then I can add some subtle e/s or mascara if I want to or leave it at that for a bare-faced but better look. I usually just do Sugar Plum Fairy lipbalm, but if I am going for a more polished look, I'll do Zen or Bella gloss, which are great MLBB colors. Smile

I did a pretty fresh look yesterday. Bouganvillea(mauve brown matte)lined with Umber on eyes. Corset on cheeks, with a little silk powder over all and on lips a light application of Lollipop color creme-although if i was going for a really natural look I could have used Bella lip gloss. I was wearing a sweet blouse with puffed sleeves and thin scarlet and white stripes, and for some odd reason I felt like Mary Poppins(disney version).

black/brown hair ~greenish brown eyes

Face: Voile mix 1W/2N, Silk Powder, Coquille Jaune
Cheeks: Cherrybomb, Firewoman
Eyes: I am in love with the Bete Noire collection, and Tapestry ES
Lips: Notorious, Bete Noire lippies, rosebud, coquette

lately if i want to go natural, i tightline the top lid 3/4 of the way in with the brown gel, then i'll put a light dusting of kinetic cheek glisten on my lid, with a little brown of any of the many browns i have in the crease and wine mascara. for cheeks i would definitely say that rococo is that fresh face blush for me. rococo really brightens my face. yes, girl_geek, definitely melancholia on the lips for a natural look for me, too! i wore melancholia yesterday and i realized that my lips looked the same color as my baby sons' lips. there was a thread earlier form someone who wanted that baby lip look, and i find that melancholia does this one me, because its sheer and rosy and a little shiny, just like a baby's mouth.

My fresh face for today was Coco bean in the crease, Fox on the lid and a thin wetline of Drama Queen copper. I wore Tender lippie and tons of sunscreen -- since my new job has me standing outside in the sunshine for 6 hours a day. I pink up pretty fast when it gets warm, so no need for blush. But I think Epitome would have probably worked well if I'd been in airconditioning...

Nice, I should move to TX! Smile

We are in our typical Midwestern spring weather here ... it was in the 50's most of last week, with one awesome day in the 70's (Tuesday I think?), and then this morning we got a dusting of snow! They always say around here, "If you don't like the weather, wait a day!"

While I am doing my pre-Easter cleaning today, I wanted to look Springy. Wearing usual foundation mix, for eyes: Regal PH on lids applied with aloe vera wetted flat brush, Agate PH in crease and up past crease with Rockbottom appied lightly in deepest part of crease. I even used Regal as a blush and looks great! Wearing a purple floral Teeshirt on such a gloomy day.

We had cold rainy weather recently. Now it is in the low 80's. But around here you could start at 75 at 10 am, then hit 45 by 3pm if a blue norther comes thru. So you don't even have to wait 1 day for the weather to change in Jan, Feb or early March !

Oops gotta run.. Torchwood is coming on ! BBC channel.. love that show..

I miss Texas bluebonnets. California lupines (the western cousins) are just not the same -- they're more purple... but bluebonnets are a rich indigo purple blue -- so intense and beautiful!
