sorry this is late, ladies! my brain has been mostly mush lately, and I've NO creativity to speak of right now (stress will do that to ya), so I asked my 5yo DD Viv to help me come up w/an idea for this week's challenge (she loves to see how I do my makeup - "close your eyes, Mama, so I can see...oooh, pretty!!" ), which of course means PINK!! (it's Viv's favourite colour) fortunately AL has a pink for everyone: shop by color - pink eyeshadow shades

so pls pick a PINK, any pink (even the ones not incl'd in the pic above - BNs, V'days, SSs, Orchidees, etc.), and pair it w/something else - I've found that pink goes w/dang near anything: brown, grey, black, white, red, yellow, blue, purple, teal, green...the options are pretty much endless! have fun w/this - can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Wore hibiscus with robins egg today in fact - she liked it! Perhaps I'll finally take part in a challenge this week.

Face My super new Jane's Addiction mixture, with a 1/2 and 1/2 mix of 1Y & 2Y Glissade over that. A little more Jane's Addiction lightly dusted over the top.

Cheeks: GL Velvet Dream

Eyes: Sweet Dreams cream shadow, with PH hibiscus on lid and blended a bit above crease. L'Orchidee in Seed Pearl dusted over entire eye lid, from lashes up to brow bone. Black mascara.

Lips: GL Velvet Dream with clear gloss.

After the horrible day I had dealing with my insurance company I needed to have to fun and playing with pink shadows was just the ticket!

I am also pleased with how my new fdtn mix turned up in photos.I don't look quite as chalky.Turns out I don't need so much linen.

I am surpried at how red my hair looks.I just did my 2nd full henna(as opposed to a gloss or cassia mix) and I think it finally took.

Eeep! so sorry I forgot to resize my pics and tell you what I used! Jeez I am just having one of those day.

So I used my usual coquille mix,new voile/glissade mix,some Illuminator,a mix of Verve,Nectar and Bronzer on my cheeks.For eyes I used primer wisteria in the creases,pink fingers all over,showy over the crease and lightly smudged underneath and seed pearlin the inner corner.For my lips I used a non-AL pinky lavender gloss.

I was going for a sublte look with this but I def. looks much brighter in person.Oh and excuse my hubbys bathrobe.

Melissa - that is such a pretty and soft look on you. And you defnitely have that pregnancy glow thing going on. You look BEAUTIFUL!! Love it.

ETA: I'd love to know which gloss you used - gorgeous.

Hottie: I already commented on your other post but just wanted to remind you how much I like these colors on you.

Melissa: You look so soft and pretty in these colors. And your foundation looks great! Too much linen in my foundation blend tends to make me look pastey. Then I just add a little less and I look normal again.

Melissa, love the shading and gradient you created with these colors. And great hair color! It makes your eyes look more reddish.

Oh, yeah, Hottie, forgot to comment on your FOTD, although I already looked at it before I love Hibiscus on you. You inspired me to get that color out and use it as a lippie today. Looks great as a shadow on you! Your eyes almost look sea-green here. Love the whole matchy-matchy outfit

Hottie I also love your eyes/orange combo! Lol we look like opposite ends of the colour wheel in ours pics.

wild coco - crease

angel wing - tear duct
shadow witch - mixed w/ sealant and lined wet on top lash line

Rest of face:
2y voile/2yl glissade - all over
clear ultra resolution finishing powder - t-zone
dolly gothic lolita rouge - cheeks
sylvie - lips

i think shadow witch is very pretty and unique with the gold sparkles. i totally recommend getting the f/s even if it is just to be used as a liner. btw, shadow witch looks great as a liner on you. over the pink, it looks like moonset...
