This is gorgeous, Melissa! I love red winged blackbirds - around here we get yellow winged blackbirds, too. Very pretty...and works well with livewire, I might add!

-b.

**********************
My coloring - Fair, naturally curly dark red hair, freckles (light golden), combo to oily skin, use 1W Glissade and/or Voile, although I can and have worn 1Y, 1Y/L, and 1Y/L/00 at different times. Would describe my coloring as neutral - not a classic Autumn, not really a Winter, maybe more of a Late Fall?

You are not alone. I have a really nice film camera, but that doesn't much help. I dunno

TY ladies!

Ever since Nadja posted that blackbird picture, I had been wanting to do a look with it, but didn't have any orange to do it with. It turned out pretty cool. Smile

Loida - it's funny because my husband said the very same thing. Looking in the mirror tonight...it's almost haunting. In artificial light, the whites of my eyes stand out like little flashlights. So weird!

I just removed my eye makeup and my lids are stained orange Smile

Yup, that's why I always use primer on my lids before I use any eyeshadow, especially the Rocks! colors.

Only a few weeks ago when I got Psycho Candy on my lenses. Damn evil pink. I don't use primer but I do apply foundation on my lids as a primer, so that probably helps avoid staining.

Melissa,
I copied your Blackbird look today - WOW! It's intense! And it does get you noticed!

This afternoon while I was paying for my daughter's new shoes, the girl working the register complimented me on my eye m/u - I dove right into my purse, whipped out my AL "share the love card", jotted down the colors I had used on it, and invited her to join us here.
I hope she didn't think I was too nuts.....but not that I really care if she did. Big Grin

Thanks again for the nudge into the fun zone!

As a huge fan of iridescence (the science behind it is amazing but lengthy), I would like to see this aspect of blackbirds captured. I would, but I don't have the makeup for it.

Cool Winter: cool olive skin; dark-grey hazel eyes; dark brown hair.

I love irridescence, too, Ariana! everything from bird feathers to oil slicks (preferrably not together! Eek)

I don't have quite the right MU to do a "blackbird wing" look myself, but when I read your post, it popped into my head that Blackout gel liner as a base w/Caribe PH applied over it might have a similar effect, since Caribe has a gorgeous blue-green colour shift... or maybe even Heaven PH, which has that amazing blue-gold colour shift...? geez, now I'm gonna have to get Blackout (I've been avoiding blacks b/c I think they look kinda harsh on me as a blonde, but hey, every once in a while we DO actually get to go out at night...! TeeHeeHee ) oh and if anyone tries the blackbird wing thing before I get around to it, will you let us know how it looks and what you used? tia!! Smile
