Hi girls~!
It's almost October ( Halloween!) And so I decided to do a challenge based on costume/fantasy.With all these superhero movies coming out, I found it fitting to do something related. This week's challenge is: Comic Books!

Do a face inspired by a comic book (or graphic novel) character of your choice ( you can either try to imitate the character's makeup, do a look based on his/her outfit's colors, or make one up of your own )

I found some inspirational pics on the net, If you can find any other inspiration pics post them here, and please link (or post) the image you took your inspiration from.

Oh! Oh! Oh! I have the perfect look for this! ::races off to makeup storage and tries not to wipe out on her way there::

Super Villains! If we didn't have them, what would all those Super Heros do? Well, my look is inspired by a crazy genius villainess Pamela Lillian Isley a.k.a. Poison Ivy.

The Look:
Eye shadow Primer in light
Grass foiled over entire lid
Gilded Jealousy lightly over entire lid to tone down Grass; heavily in crease and along 1/2 upper lash line
Wizards Gold in inner corner of eye and under brow to highlight
Verdant Wisp wet lined outer 3/4 of upper lash
14k we lined inner 1/4 upper lash and slightly over Verdant Wisp; on lower lash line
Styli-Style pencil in Jade in waterline












Poison Ivy and Harley have have been my fav comic book characters forever!

Hmm... I've always been more of a Marvel girl myself, watched the old X-Men and Spider-Man cartoons with my younger brother (even though I was too old to be watching cartoons, lol), and I'll read the occasional comic book but not every month or anything... Comic book characters tend to have such fun colors in their costumes, I bet it would be easy to find some colorful looks!

I love the green and gold combo on myself as well.. though I find it funny since I live in Beaver Country (Oregon State University area) and green and gold is our state rival's colors (University of Oregon)! On game days I feel like I'm gonna start a riot if I wear green and gold instead of orange and black, lol!

I won't lie... Today... before I even looked at this... I decided to do my make up to match my shirt (which has the Joker and Harley Quinn on it, says "Mad Love"). Can that count? Because I have the pictures. And this was seriously one... before I saw this... that I thought would be fun. SO WE THINK ALIKE. GO US.

But I'll do this one again, too. I just did it for fun to match my shirt today.

Primer and (I switched it all up today) Dulcinea all over lid.
LadyStarDust on the lid, Girl's Night out on my brow bone area? I had wildflower on my cheeks... and Sweet on my lips.
Rimmel mascara, and Aromaleigh plain black eyeliner on the bottom.

I wasn't expecting to like the purple on me so much... but I loved it... partly because it gives my eyes a green-ish tinge... Still blue, but bits of green. BUT that might be because it was green outside too. lol. I was afraid purple would look bad on me. But I liked it a lot.

The only comic books I have are Howard Chaykin's Black Kiss ones. I can definitely do Dagmar's look!

Love the purple on you Nix! It really does make your eyes look different. Sort of softer and more vibrant. Haha, I don't even know what that means, just sounds right.

I LOVE this challenge! I need to figure out a look. I used to read a ton of comics every week... Dawn, Chastity, Purgatori, Vampirella, Shi, Lady Death, Sandman, Books of Magic, ahhh, so many good things!

I'm gonna see if I can do my look for this weekend...

Ok, so as I mentioned in my first pic post, my two fav characters are Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn... and since Nix wore that lovely tee with Harley and Joker I couldn't stop thinking of a look for Harley... So here it is!

I love this look Z! You did a great job of capturing her look, especially with the wig.
