Sorry all! It just dawned on me this morning that I was the first one to post! I think I have a good challenge for us...

Make a look using colors that are a similar shade of your eye color. Example, blue eyed gals use blue shadow, green for greens and so on. I have personally been trying to find a shade of blue that looks good on me. Most do, but only if it is darker than my eye color. And if you have those awesome eyes that tend to change color, just pick the closest that yours happens to be that day.

I thought I'd pop in here before I showered and got ready for the day just in case a new challenge was posted. Yay! So glad I did.

Interesting! Things have been so hectic at work I'm not sure if I'll get a chance to post (I'm just popping in on these forums while I'm waiting for my computer code to build before I can continue testing it! Builds are running slow today...)

But my eyes do crazy things when I try to match my eye color: on a normal day my eyes usually look grey-blue or light blue, but with certain makeup and clothing colors they can look aqua or greenish. (But they always look green when viewed from the side, like in my current avatar.) However, they NEVER look blue when I wear blue eyeshadow! Bright blues make my eyes look grey in comparison; soft blues make my eyes look green in comparison (I guess the shadow is "more blue" than my eyes). But green and teal shadows also make my eyes look more aqua or green

this is gonna be really challenging! My eyes can look amber, green, brown, depending on the makeup that I wear that day =/ Also I have one that's a bit browner than the other, which should be interesting! hehe

Wow Robyn! I would have never thought to mix Smokescreen and Mocha together like that... It's amazing!

Oh la la, Robyn! So pretty! I will try to pop in to do this challenge tomorrow. I had a stress reaction that caused most of the eyelashes on my right eye to fall out, so I've been self-conscious about taking pictures lately.

That sucks that you had a stress reaction. Take pictures of only one eye? *hugs*
I hope it gets better soon.

I'm going to beat my eyes for being weird and changing from blue, grey, green all the time. My eyes look bad with just blue... so I might do something with a blue green eyeliner colour, then blue eye shadow, then a grey-ish blue at the crease. I'm going to play around tonight with it, maybe... no pictures until tomorrow though.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Ella! Hopefully the new lashes will grow back in soon? Hehe, I am self conscious too at the moment. My forehead is like a war zone with the new acne medication I am on... (it's supposed to get worse THEN better). Hope you can de-stress some, and take left eye pics

Robyn, this look is great on you. The perfect blues for you. And I too love that smokescreen/mocha mix.

P.S. Your hair is beautiful curly, but I LOVED it straight in one of your previous photos. So the big question, what is its texture naturally?

Robyn, this is one of my favorite looks for you, EVER! That blue is hands down gorgeous. It looks amazing with your eyes.

Thanks, everyone! At first I just used Smokescreen but it looked too gray for what the effect I was going for. Adding Mocha on top warmed it up a bit.

Tally: My hair is naturally very wavy.

I wish my hair was wavy.



My eyes are actually blue... but they also reflect their surroundings. It was grey-ish outside today... cloudy... and though the make up had blue in it, I've found that it makes my eyes look grey... It's the only blue colour I've found that my eyes can match.

I used regular black eyeliner... then moonagedaydream on the lid and avalon at the top... They're both grey-ish colours that have blue in them or green in them. Since my eyes switch around to those colours, always with a grey-ish or blue tint... I figured they'd work best.

I actually like how this one looks a lot. I'll probably use it more often.

Nix, that is SO pretty! You did a great job playing up your beautiful eye color. I like the way moonagedaydream and avalon look together. I love your glasses too.

My lashes are slowly growing back. I read that it takes 7-8 weeks for them to fully grow out. It was weird having a "bald" eye for a while. Stuff would fall in there all the time I guess b/c the lashes weren't there to protect it. So yes, left eye pics tomorrow!

Looks great Nix! I actually think in the second picture, your eyes look very blue -- the shadows are more greenish and your eyes look blue in comparison! I love how rich moonagedaydream looks on you

PS: the grass is always greener, I have wavy hair that I can never figure out how to style so I'd love straight hair

My eyes normally look really blue. Sometimes, it irritates me how much they reflect everything around me... BUT thanks to AL, I have a blue that matches, finally.

This look seems so tame after my more colorful experiments.





My eyes actually do have some green in them, so I did a coppery brown and green combo.

Cookie Party (disc.) is foiled on the lid. Burnt Roses (GL) is to darken the outer lid and crease, as well as mixed into gloss for the lipcolor. Pavane (EP) to highlight the brow. DQ Topaz is used as a wetliner.

No blush... light bronzer on cheeks and forehead to add to the "brown" look.

Fun challenge!
