Somehow we got off count on our weeks so I'm getting us back on track here in week 61. Can you believe we've been doing this for SIXTY-ONE WEEKS?

Okay, on with the fun stuff. I got my weekly challenge idea from the most recently weekly challenge at MakeupGeek.com. However, their weekly challenge was simply to mix silver with rose. I'm, of course, not going to limit you that strictly. What fun would that be?

So my challenge for you all is to create a look mixing one of the Elemental Lustres with a color from another non-metallic collection.

Well this works out good for me! I've been itching to use Fume for about two weeks. And tomorrow I am off!

I'm all over this one! I am loving Entangle these days. So, I decided to go a bit more bold by mixing it with Tempted Rocks! It is true that you need to really lay on the make-up to get it to show up in photos. This look is actually "Whoa, mama!" bright in person.



I used Zinnia (Spring Solstice) to highlight and to blend and Eggplant (PEM) as a liner. Blush is Corset (GL) and the lippy is a mix of Vivid with Karma topped with a red lipgloss. (I would have preferred something a bit more pink in person, but I've noticed that lipcolor washes out in photos, too.)

I also used a green primer (from another company) under my foundation and Metamorphosis to finish, in addition to my foundation and Nocturne to cancel out my facial redness, so I could get the colors to "pop" more. I think it helped!





This was fun! Great challenge! I can't wait to see more looks...

Ebony in outer corners
Black Cherry to line
Aura perle powder as blush
Rosebud on lips

Sorry, not so good with the photos today. Overcast day but enough sun glare to make me sqwinty.

Do you have any Opulent Lustres? They also have a metallic finish that would work well for this challenge

I wouldn't consider it metallic since it's a Lustre... I think Robyn just wants us to an Elemental Lustre (or I will add that Opulent Lustres will probably work if you don't have any EL's) with a color from another collection

No, I don't have any lustres of anything.
I just checked to see if maybe some of the free samples I got had it... BUT I lost some of them. SO if I have any lustres, I'll have a picture up. If not, maybe the next one.

At least now I know what to buy!

I believe some of the Pure Hues are metallic. And some of the Mysteres look metallic when foiled.

Holy Grail is one of those Pure Hues that looks golden when foiled on me at least.

Adrenochrome is very metallic.

I'll go out on a limb and wager that Robyn won't come an slap you silly if your metallic is not a Lustre.

SO I will do this. probably with moonagedaydream. That's an idea I've been toying with lately. Foil the adrenochrome and just dust on the moonagedaydream. THAT should work. I hope.

Yeah, no slappin goin on here. The idea is to have fun.

Here's mine!!!
I used agentorange wet all over, velvetgoldmine dry over it, mutiny elemental lustre on the crease, blended up with gilt , lined with brown pencil and smudged with umber on upper and lower lashes. I really like doing the challenges, it takes time off the time it actually takes to decide what to do!!!
