(I'm going to be editing this post as I write it. Unfortunately there does not seem to be a "Preview" feature, so if the pics are too large, then I will attempt to find them again and make them smaller.)

First of all, thank you ladies for choosing me to do the next challenge. I hope that this one has enough lee-way for you all. Smile

I was inspired by everyone last week and had a dream about wearing striped neon eyeshadow. Ee! So, what I am proposing is at least one of the colors on your face must be neon or very saturated and bright. As you can probably tell in these photos, at least one element is bright.

I also like the crazy blush look that I picked out, so if anyone feels comfortable trying that out, please feel free!! I included at least two looks that are more muted, but still dramatic. The one with the pink eyeshadow on top, then green underneath I really like because of the contrast and also the glassy bright pink lip.

I guess I could have made it so that you have to use pink and blue together since I have so many pics of that!! Hehe! Anyway. Questions, comment, you know what to do! Smile

I hope you all have fun.

(Zhariel, you already did something that I had picked out a picture for before you even did the look!)

I love this!
I probably won't do it until Wednesday, just because I have work Monday and Tuesday. My boss tends to laugh when I wear lots of make up. Especially bright make up. SO I'll definitely do it. Thank God for Rocks.

Ok, here's my version. I was going for a very shimmery look and ended up liking the result. I'll admit that I'm still having issues using Rocks! wet. If there's a trick to it, I sure don't know it. It's always a bit clumpy on me.

Face: silk powder, 1Y & 2Y glissade, JA finishing powder. Neutral-Fair Concealer under eyes and on blemishes. Rose Coquille under eyes to dust away fall out.

Cheeks: LE Valentine's 'Hot Stuff' as blush.

Eyes: Rocks! bigneonglitter foiled onto lid and up a little above the crease. Rocks! ozone blended into outer corner of lid and into and above crease. L'Orchidee unicorn used to blend out ozone and up to brow. Pure Hue glimmer applied just under and brow and inner corners of eyes. Pure Eyes Matte ebony applied very lightly dry to upper lashes only. One coat of black mascara.

Lips: Gothic Lolita Pinafore.

Oooh Pretty pretty Hottie! Smile (BTW, wasn't today's weather just gorgeous?! I hate hot weather, but I think today was/is still perfect!)

I love the lippie you used, too! And the blush! And everything! Hehe. Very gorgeous.

I haven't figured out how to make Rocks! stay on my lid... I use the sealant stuff but it looks fantastic and then it just flakes off and falls onto my face, then I have to take it all off... Boo hoo! Anyway, I like the way you did it, very nice!

Weee!

Today is gorgeous! Unfortunately I spent all day cleaning, but that's ok. Smile

I just can't seem to get the Rocks! to work for me very well. I guess I'll have to keep playing with them a bit more.

Hot Stuff is my new favorite cheek color!

We achieved a lot this weekend, today in particular. Got groceries, did dishes and laundry.. I posted this challenge.. Smile I made an awesome pasta salad. Today is the perfect day.

Hmm, do you apply primer first? I would recommend using a primer before applying a shadow mixed with sealant. Perhaps you are applying too thick a layer when using sealant? You should also experiment with different consistencies (ratio of shadow to sealant). hth!

Oh, I am soo excited about this challenge Smile I think I may just do a look for fun right now because I'm not doing anything else. Hmmm. Btw Hottie your looks is awesome. Bright but totally wearable!

I think I may do a look with foiled rocks! because thats what people seem to be talking about lately. I don't use Aromaleigh's eyeshadow sealant though (but I mean aren't they all generally the same thing?) so I can't really give suggestions but perhaps you are putting too much pigment to sealant. Thats happened to me before and I ended up with green eyeshadow all over my fave because it dried, became powdery, and just fell off. I'm pretty sure it was because I used WAY too much shadow so that could be your problem?

Whew. I did this look just now and you have NO IDEA how long it took haha. I forgot how much of a pain it is to foil stuffSmile I got the inspiration from the pink and blue looks you posted carolyn and also from alice in wonderland. I'll probably have an AinW themed birthday shindig this year so I thought this would be cool to do. Ok so here it goes...

Eyes: Shimmery neutral cream base. Peony PH wet on inner corner, inner lower lashline, inner 1/3ish of lid. RasberryBeret Rocks! wet on outer part of lid, dry all over lid to blend and make sparkly-er. LadyStarDust Rocks! wet in crease and slightly above, outer v, and on outermost part of lid a little. Cream colored matte eyeshadow to blend out edges as best as possible. PlanetEarth Rocks! used with damp brush on browbone blended into LSD to create darker blue and a bit of a darker purple, outside part of outer v dry, lower lashline dry. Turquoise liner on waterline with PlanetEarth lightly over it. BlackAngel Rocks! wetlined on upperlashline. Mascara.

Face: Other mineral foundation (matte). WildFlower on cheeks.

Lips: Sheer shiny peachy lipstick-esque product lightly.

BIGPICTURESYES! HAH!

Okay, so here's about 50,000 pictures. :P I like pictures! That's me ---> Take pics!

So, I wet my shadow brushes, wiped off the excess water and patted on the colors. Is it called foiling? It seemed to work out, except that I didn't use a primer, so my skin stained a little. :'( Oh well, I will live.

I used PlanetEarth on my entire lid, then AgentOrange. I was going to use PeekABoo which is a light peachy sparkly orange but it was too light, so switched to AgentOrange. Anywho. Used that then while everything was still a little damp I scooped up peekaboo and dusted it over everything. It has some cute silver sparkles that I really liked. Finally, I wetted my liner brush and got a bit of LondonDungeon going on. I wetlined that thinly over the top and under my lower lashes. Followed by two big ol' helpings of mascara! My eyes get scary big when I use mascara on both top and bottom... lol, one reason I have problems lining under neath my lashes is because my lower lashes are almost freakishly long. They are longer than some people's real lashes that I know. Weird!

Oh, I used a liquid foundation as a primer because my skin acts a little crazy if I only do minerals (gets dry in only three places which is annoying) then used my regular 1PL over the top, some Rococo on my cheeks, and Metamorphosis over that. Lips I used a color of lip color called Melon (Aveda). I would say it could be similar to "Sweet" in the Aromaleigh Color Infusion Botanical Lipstick line, but it is more like a cantaloupe color, no sparkle, just the color. Then I used a super shiny gloss over the top. I was trying to get a sort of light lip like some of the sample pics I posted.
Anyway. Here's my many pics. Enjoy!

Also loving your look! AHHHH! Awesome. Especially the winged eyeliner thing you did with LD. GORGEOUS. Reminds me of an orange creamsicle and the bright blue sky Smile

Wow, these are great looks ladies! The color combos are bright and fun.

Looks like you got the Rocks! to stay on Carolyn. Smile Foiling does help, but the glittery ones do need sealant. But not too much, as you have experienced the flaking. I think MissTat used lipbalm once to keep on glitter in a look. But if a person has oily lids, that might get slippery. Big Grin

I haven't been able to decide on a look for this challenge yet, but thanks for the inspiration ladies.

-Melissa

Great looks! I love the color you created on your crease, Carolyn! It has the color of agentorange but is sparkly because of Peekaboo. Great lining job, too! Love the Peony on you, Ciao!
