This looks like an Iris eye to me ! purple iris with a yellow/golden throat


61 yr old, light complected,rosacea -sensitive skin, fading auburn hair, hazel eyed, lightly freckled,
MMU= 2 Y/L + a tad of 2 Pink Glissade.
Topped with an Illuminator/juane,verte,blue coquille powders, and Splendor and Allure Perle powders mix for finishing powder.Leaves a soft ,velvety finish, natural look - not a dry skin/ aged looked

This look is inspired from an iris I grew called Thornbird, it is considered to be a "spaceage iris" These irised have beards that separate from the falls, they are very pretty. The main colors are sort of a cream on the standards and browninsh/ purple on falls with dark purple beards.
I used Gilt Frost all over. (iris standards)
Flora Midsummer on lid up to browbone.(iris falls)
Tanzanite gel liner for the liner (iris beard)
Nico in corners to represent the yellow at base of beard.

Oooh, that's sooo pretty, Melissa!!! And I love how some of the frosts/glitters seemed to have fallen or mixed in with the tanzanite liner making it look more shimmery.

Thanks for the compliments, I love irises. I need to look through my other photos for some more inspiration. To be honest, this didn't turn out like I had wanted, but since I spent the time and it looked halfway decent I decided to post it. For some reason I couldn't get the colors to show up more in my photoshop. oh well. I am still surprised that Tanzanite is so purple, is this normal? (I'm not complaining because it is gorgeous, just not what I expected)

My coloring - Fair, naturally curly dark red hair, freckles (light golden), combo to oily skin, use 1W Glissade and/or Voile, although I can and have worn 1Y, 1Y/L, and 1Y/L/00 at different times. Would describe my coloring as neutral - not a classic Autumn, not really a Winter, maybe more of a Late Fall?
