Venture Bros. is an animated show on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. It's sort of what happened to Jonny Quest if he were a middle-aged failure with twin not-so-bright boys and a borderline psychotic bodyguard. Recently, one of the show's creators provided instructions about how to recreate the looks of two of the female characters. I decided to translate them into Aromaleigh colors and post them here.

First, Triana. She's the daughter of a necromancer who rents a lab from Dr. Venture. Although Goth in appearance, she's actually very kind. Dean Venture has the biggest crush on her.



On her lids: it looks purple, but has been described as a deep, sparkly blacken red. Possible colors: garnet, vampira, dirty deed, bad reputation, with blackplanet, black diamond, blackangel, pewter or smokescreen.

Under her brows: shimmery, piny-purple like diamanda, kiki, iris, or wisteria.

Lips: intense blackish purple. I'm open to suggestions with this one. maybe dare and noire mixed together?

Next: Molotov
Molotov is a Russian mercenary. She is talented with the weapons and has poisoned blades in her spike-heeled boots. She has a thing for Dr. Venture's bodyguard, Brock, but believes the job is beneath his talents.



Lids: Hard to see, but her lids usually appear to be a very dark purple. So I think funkytown, blue orchid, doubledare, penelope, amethyst, or eggplant

If she wears a highlighter, it is very neutral like fiona or odette, glow, snow, or ice.

Lips: Deep, bold red. Dalia, marron, starlet, or lava, lollipop, pinafore

Finally, Dr. Girlfriend

Dr. Girlfriend is a Super-villain. She's smart, tough, but also so very stylish. She recently married the Monarch, arch-nemesis of Dr. Venture. She is known for her deep, husky voice, causing Brock to think that she was a man at one point.



For her daily look, she wears a medium, pinkish purple on her lid like diamanda, alexandrite, hitormiss, or persephone.

She highlights with a washed, neutral pink like chloe, pandora, baby, damask, fawn, or cupid.

For special Guild of Calamitous Intent events, she wears a smoky eye with an intense, purplish blue such as blue orchid, ladystardust, doubledare, or regal.

She highlights with a pinky-brown-plum like edie, kiki, tearose, romance, ballet, wine, kiss, pearl, or hermia.

Lips: medium-pale pink like cameo, belladonna, velvateen, shantung, lush, or zen.

And apparently non of them wear blush, so stick to something neutral like the colorwashes, or rosetta, etheral, cashmere, nectar

I think I can definitely pull of the Molotov character...might even darken my mole that day!

The show is hilarious - one of my favorite shows. Whether or not intentional, the creators have made the main female charcters the smart, rational, successful characters. Most of the male characters have issues.

Now, regarding how the creators have written the characters...when I read your post, the first thing I said to myself was:

"Oh, so they wrote them true to life!"

I agree, how fun!!! I want to watch the show now. I hope it's on Netflix.
