I was sitting at my computer and the screensaver came on. It cycles thru all the pictures on my hard drive. The picture of this lizard came up and it gave me the idea of doing a look. This is a lizard from Bermuda.

All wet, I used isadora on the inner lid, destination unknown in the center lid and penelope on the outer lid. There wasn't enough difference between the destination unknown and penelope, so I then went over the destination unknown with peacoat wet. I then put a dry wash of glimmer over all the colors to soften them. Fox was used wet on the upper and lower lash lines then smudged.

I thought this might be a cool theme since there are a lot of colorful reptiles out there.

Here's a few more pics.

This is really beautiful! Great colors, and I love Fox with the different blues!

My coloring - Fair, naturally curly dark red hair, freckles (light golden), combo to oily skin, use 1W Glissade and/or Voile, although I can and have worn 1Y, 1Y/L, and 1Y/L/00 at different times. Would describe my coloring as neutral - not a classic Autumn, not really a Winter, maybe more of a Late Fall?

This 'look' is breathtaking, Melissa! Gorgeous is another word to describe it too.

Reptiles on the other hand, give me the extreme willies...some may be pretty (like the ones you posted pix of), but all of them make me want to hop up on a chair and SCREAM!

2/3Y glissade/voile on oily skin; likes both warm and cool tones; AL makeup is the best! 43 y/o

What a fun theme! When I was a kid I used to have some of those green lizards that had necks that puffed up big and red and orange when they were mad or frightened--anyone know what I'm talking about? I would love to google it, but I can't even recall the name of those lizards.

Coloring: 1W Glissade (can get by with N or Y) Hazel eyes, hair back to dark red. Looks best in neutral or slightly cool-toned makeup.
Favorite products: Magnetism gel liner, Rocks! Rouges, Pinafore Color Cream, Adelaide EDT. Have yet to try an eyeshadow I didn't love.

Well, I like the leaf tailed gecko and used his colors to inspire a look. Sorry, no pictures. New camera but dead batteries. sigh.

Eyes:
Inner third of eyelid and under the brow: fiona lustre
Middle third of eyelid to just above crease: sophie luster
Outer third of eyelid and just above the crease: circe lustre.

I lined with umber at the upper and lower lash lines.

On the upper lash line above the umber, I mixed sealant, supsect drive, velvet goldmine, and tainted love to get that orange of the gecko's eyes. Thick line on the upper lash line and thin ounder the lower lash line.

Finished with black mascara and umber in the brows.

I sculpted cheeks per Bridget's instructions. med. bronzer under the cheekbone, nectar rouge on the apple, and splendor perle as a highlight.

Lips: saffron topped with hype gloss.

Foundtion: layer of metamorphosis and my usual 1y/l-2y/l in voile.

Gotta say I liked this look. It was subtle, even with that brightline of orange because the orange wasn't screaming neon orange. It looked good against my blue eyes, and it had a summery feel.
