I apologize for posting this so late, I forgot that I was first last week!

I've been on a kick of pairing a neutral/ nude with a bright color in the crease or the outer corner lately, so that will be this week's theme. My current favorite is persian kitten and silk sockings with fairy over khaki in the outer corner.

For a neutral/nude color:


silk stockings, persian kitten & damask

gilt, fox & sand


dune


For your bright color:

The Aromaleigh eye shadow collection is the limit, pick one or two and have at it!

Fun! I could do a different look each day this week and still be able to go out in public.

Haha! That leaves me with oh I dunno 400 shadows to chose from.Okay well the ones I own...

YUP! LE are just fine.

Good morning! Don't know if I followed all the rules, etc. but here goes. And please excuse the brow - need a wax but I'm too lazy.

Lots of photos because this was so bright and pretty in person but I just can't get it to photograph.

I used:
Mallow on entire lid to brow
Diamanda in outer vee and crease blended up
Desire just a dab in outer corner & along lower lashline
Fiona just under brow
Tanzanite to line
Verve on cheeks
Gossamer on lips







I think I'll use this idea more often Hoyden, thanks. I really like it - and the colors don't look quite this "blended" in person either.

Us purple lovers are so predictable! Although I can sure see you with a dark green too.

Oh, and I thought of that new name for brown eyes. I think sometimes they look like root beer. LOL - is that any better?

Im not sure if I like this look on me...but here goes.
I used Bare Nessecity and Persian Kitten all over.Black Diamond and Spellbound Rocks! lined on top and bottom lashes and Bellflower S.S. in crease.Oh and a mix of Ambrosia and medium bronzer contoured all over and a sheer purple gloss.

I think I am unsure of this b/c for some reason my eyes do not look good with an in-between look.I think they look better either more sublte or really dramatic.

When you're in edit mode, "medium" in the preset sizes is usually a good size for the forum posts.

Melissa - I think your looks is very pretty. I like it alot. Maybe you're just not used to seeing yourself at the "in between" level?

I think also b/c of the contrast between my skin,hair and eyebrows I like to just enhance my skin and lip colouring or go really dramatic.I just like the way that looks on me.


So would rootbeer brown be like a chocolatey brown? I think my hubby has more rootbeer brown eyes.They are very deep and dark but still have some richness to them.

I'll post my look either tomorrow or saturday. I'm in prom dress alteration hell this week. Three DAYS to alter a dress because my daughter liked it and it was 4" too long. I just have to hem the darn thing now! :: thud ::

NUTC: I just realized that when I gave you photo editing advice, I didn't mention how much I liked this look on you. I think it's great!

Melissa: Perhaps for this "neutral/nude with a bright color" challenge, the accent color you chose wasn't bright or deep enough for your taste. I personally think this look is very pretty on you (but then I haven't seen a look of yours I din't love) but if it's not to your liking, I say give it another go using a brighter or richer color and post a second look.

Thanks Robyn.I think this look would have been better for me if I had done green or brown or maybe even a wine/burgundy shade.

Melissa - I'd love to see you do another look with green. I just enjoy that color on you. And I was corrected by my hubby last night. I was thinking birch beer. Like a reddish brown with some gold in it. I guess root beer would be chocolatey. They all sound yummy to me anyway!

Awww, thanks! You girls are always so sweet to everybody who posts (means so much to those of us who automatically think "holy carp, I just posted a picture of myself on a message board!")
