Sorry it's late.

This week's challenge is to do something dramatic, classic, glamourous... Hollywood's Golden Age. NOW, most of those pictures are in black and white, but I'm sure many people have replicated the look.

Oooh, I'm so going to try this tomorrow. Something light and smoky with a gorgeous red lip. <3

I couldn't resist, I did it tonight, even though I'm going to wash it off in about an hour. xD

I might redo this challenge tomorrow, though, since I think my eye ended up darker than I wanted it (hence all the mixing for the inner 1/2). Maybe a more neutral look, instead.

Inner 1/2 of lid: Butterfly kisses on top of Cocoa Mauve on top of dirtydeeds.

Rimmel kohl kajal pencil in soft black

Ooh hello loves! This is so fun!! Love it!

Eye Colors Used:
Darcelle Bette on lid and into crease (more on one than the other)
Blackplanet lined and used to add faux lashes on side
Whiteriot over DarcelleBette and the rest of my eye, and as inner highlight
White liner on waterline.

On my cheeks I used CherryBomb but under the cheekbones to put an under light thingy on them, so there is no blush on the apples of my cheeks.

After the eyes and cheeks, I put on some Parfait, then my foundation over that. In some of the pics, you will notice my nose is very powdery looking. My nose is my most troublesome spot on my whole face! Always so flaky and dry, even when properly moisturized. Anyway.

Lips I used cakewalk (and lightly rubbed it off) then over that went and Aveda lipstick they probably don't carry anymore called Shanghai Red, with a little Jolie over the top to make it darker. That was all over a bit of the lip primer.

Lashes, I used BadGalLash by Benefit and a separate (smaller!) mascara brush (got them from a friend who was getting rid of her Mary Kay crap) to get all my tiny lashes all separated and such.

Also, some of these may be blurry, but I chose them over other because of the overall look, like the face I was making. Anyway!! There you go!

HC - I LOVE that look! Especially the little whispy design you made on your outer eye! Very classy

So pretty... Darcelle looks so blue on your lids. It looks like an olive shade on me... or are you holding back a secret color? Bette, perhaps?

Sioux, you are right, it's Bette. Lol!! I was in a big hurry when I was posting this and I remembered Darcelle I think because I was going to add it in, but then decided not to later. lol!! I fixed it, so yes. It is all Bette, no Darcelle!!

I know I posted first, and I've never hosted a makeup challenge, but my Mondays are usually far too hectic for me to get a post up (and this coming one is busier than normal), so would you like to take on next week's challenge?

They are usually posted on Sunday nights, so if you have one in your head, then you can post it tonight!
