Miss K wrote a blog awhile back about the various uses of AromaLeigh lip balms. One of these uses was as an undereye cream. I was wondering if this lip balm would work to get rid of wrinkles? Or should I buy an eye serum? I'm asking because I am getting crow's feet around my eyes, and I would like to take any more preventative measures that I can to keep them from getting worse. And if I can completely eradicate them, that would be great. So, does anyone know if the plain lip balms can correct wrinkles around the eyes?

The lip balms will help moisturize the skin but I doubt that would cure wrinkles -- it might make them a bit less noticeable since it softens up the skin though. Sometimes I use the unscented balm instead of eye cream since my eyes are so sensitive to eye creams!

I know you're good about wearing sunscreen and know how it's the best anti-aging product, so if your eyes aren't too sensitive, try an eye cream with SPF.

Prescription retinoids are probably the #2 best product, or you can try over-the-counter retinol products -- they are similar but not quite as strong. (I hear a lot of good things about Olay Regenerist products.)

Also, antioxidants and Vitamin C products can help prevent aging effects caused by free radical damage. I haven't tried any of Aromaleigh's Vitamin C products but maybe some of them would work for the eye area?

I definitely second using vitamin c products. My skin has had a huge response to them and I like them. Vitamin E is also good.

I personally like lancome's R.A.R.E eye cream:

I hadn't been taking care of myself, stressing out, etc. then ack! I saw little lines around my eyes. A couple of days using this cream (which I had gotten out of the habit of using) and no more lines! Granted, my lines are not very deep.

Also, although you probably already do this, you should apply sunscreen to your eyelid and under your eye. I recommend Vanicream since it has the least amount of irritating ingredients. It doesn't sting my eyes like most suncreens do. Also, always wear sunglasses.

Whoops, GG already mentioned the sunscreen, but I would check out that Vanicream since it doesn't irritate eyes. I think you may have to ask at the pharmacy for it (it is behind the counter).
