It took me a while to find my perfect match but I finally did. It is 3N/2L. Just wondering if this is very common, or very weird! LOL And if anyone else wears this, what are your favorite colors in eyes, cheeks, and lips? Maybe what you wear will inspire me to try those, too.

Thanks,
SusMat

Awww, it's not weird -- you just have an uncommon skintone! (Or at least I would assume it's uncommon, maybe there are others who use the same mix!)

It's definitly not uncommon to be in-between levels. Several people mix two different levels such as mixing Level 2 and 3 foundations; I'm lighter than level 1 but darker than Alabaster so I have to mix too Smile

And mixing N and L just means you're a bit more beige-y than straight N, but also need a bit more color than straight L. That's really not any different than the pre-made L mixes (YL, CL, etc.)!

It sounds like you have a lovely neutral skintone and you can probably pull off all sorts of different colors!

Voile: 1W+Alabaster ~ Clear & Warm Skintone ~ Blue Eyes ~ Dark Blonde Hair ~ 28 Years Old

Current AL obsessions:
Eyes: Cascade, Orinoco, Aurora, Coppelia, Entangle
Cheeks: Corset, Nectar, Myrtle, Sundaygirl
Lips: Notorious, Wallflower, Melancholia, Rosebud

You are right gg, I can wear almost any color. I am naturally medium blonde with blue/green eyes. And none of the 'rules' apply to me!LOL I am neither warm nor cool, but most makeup companies make their neutrals very greyish or too brown. Thank goodness for AL.

Great that you found your perfect match! Yes, lots of ladies mix their own shade, some mixing two or even three together.

You might find your shade changes seasonally, so keep your samples tucked away for future tweaking!

Congrats on finding a mix that suits you. My mix changes on a regular basis since I use a sunless tanner on occasion so my skintone isn't the same every single day.
