Ok, so I've been using a few Aromaleigh products now for a few weeks and have purchased the eyeshadow base. But my question is, what do you guys like better? The eyeshadow base or the eye and lip primer? With the base, I still seem to have trouble with my eyeshadow fading and creasing during the course of the day, I didn't know if the eye and lip primer worked better. Has anyone tried both? And which do you prefer? Or does anyone have any good recommendations for eyeshadow base/primer?

The new eye/lip primer has the same ingredients as the old cream eye shadows, so I would assume it would work the same way. Shadows tend to crease less on me with the cream shadow than with the aromaleigh eyeshadow base. I get even less creasing if I first apply the cream shadow (eye/lip primer in your case), then a very thin layer of the eyeshadow base, and then dust my entire lid with the ultra resolution finishing powder in clear (you could instead dust your eyes with a light colored eye shadow if your lids are not oily or are dry). HTH!

I was going to suggest the indelible creme shadows. I haven't tried to lip or eye primer yet, but the indelible creme shadows work real well for me, especially Bare Necessity.

I think I like the new eye and lip primer better than the older eye shadow primer, but the newer one is a tad darker, I wish it was lighter in color.

Hi Naelyan,

I have the Eyeshadow Primer/Base in both colors light and medium. I also have both the new Eye/Lip Primer and the Indelible Creme Eyeshadows. And Tally is right, the Eye/Lip Primer is exactly like the Indelible Creme Eyeshadows. However, the Eye/Lip Primer is a neutral ivory/beige shade and the Indelible Creme Eyeshadows don't come in this shade.

The Eyeshadow Primer/Base contains mineral oil whereas the Eye/Lip Primer and Indelible Creme Eyeshadow do not. I find I get better staying power with my loose pigments using either the Indelible Creme Eyeshadows or the Eye/Lip Primer. I hope that helped.

Amendment to my earlier post:

I swatched the Eye/Lip Primer and the Indelible Creme Eyeshadow in Bare Necessity on my arm this morning and the colors look identical to me. The photo of the Eye/Lip Primer looks quite a bit lighter to my eyes but on my skin, they are the same.

I'd actually wondered about that Robyn!
to me, the Eye & Lip Primer is definitely a darker shade than the Eye Shadow Primer.
Though both seem to work well, and the E&L P does not crease at all on me.
I also think it works great on the lips Smile

I've found that if I use a creme shadow and pat a little bit of the AL primer OVER, I get brighter colors (since the AL primer's stickier), but also my colors dont crease.

Don't know if anyone has ever tried that out, but I experimented one day and it works for me!

Haha, that's exactly what I said up there! That's also why I like doing that. It is stickier b.c. of the AL primer, but doesn't crease b.c. the cream shadow.
