Hi Everyone--Happy Friday

I have a problem and wonder if anyone has any ideas. After reading the customer recommendations for coquille vert I thought I had finally found a good solution for coverage for some red areas on my skin and some brown spots so I ordered a sample. My first step is to apply a tiny amount of nocturne to clean moisturized skin. I then used the vert on brown spots and dusted over the red areas (I had previously used the pure cover which did an ok job) I then apply my voile 3wl over entire face then do my eyes and cheeks and finish with the ultra resolution finishing powder in translucent and clear mixed together. To my dismay, the red area looked too pale under my foundation and the brown spots actually looked darker. The green seemed to have turned them more of a gray/brown. If I use anything too heavy over these areas it seems to show through the foundation and if I apply foundation too heavy, I get a cakey look. I realize the brown spots probably won't totally disappear no matter what I do but I was hoping for a better fix than what I got. Anyone have any ideas of what I am doing wrong when the vert seems to have helped so many others or have a different solution. Thanks in advance for any replys. I am addicted to ordering samples and having fun using them.

Hello,

I don't know what to do about brown spots, but I don't think vert is the right color to cover up brown spots.

However, for the red spots, perhaps you should try the juane coquille. If your skin tone is WL, then the green is probably canceling out too much red leaving you pale. The yellow will turn the red spots into more of a orange color that will blend better with your skintone. The coquilles are very light in color, however, and you may want to mix the coquille with some pure cover #5:

"#5: Fair buff yellow. (This color is a close match to 2W and 3W, and slightly more yellow)"

For red spots, I prefer yellow products like Coquille Juane. Green products like Vert, Metamorphasis, etc. just seem to suck the warmth out of my skin (which can make me look pale in a sickly way, not a good way!) I think the greenish products probably work better on cooler skintones. Which is pretty much what Tally already said Smile

I don't have any brown spots to cover but I've heard that lavender products are great for brightening up brown spots! So maybe Coquille Lilas or the Lavender cream concealor?

Thanks so much for the suggestions--I will be ordering more color samples 0f the coquilles, cream concealer and the #5 concealer.

It's great to have a place to get some feedback and all the pics are a great help too.
