So I got a sample set of glissade foundation, and I have no idea how to start. The colors look SO different in the packages but I am having a hard time figuring out which looks best on me. Whats the best way of comparing colors and starting to narrow it down? Help!!

First of all, check all colors in both indoor and outdoor light -- there are several foundations that look like a good match in my bathroom, but look totally wrong outside!

When I was sampling foundations, I started by applying swatches of every color near my jawline (I just used an eyeshadow brush). The swatches may not be a perfect match since you'll probably end up applying the product heavily, but you should be able to eliminate a few obviously wrong colors. I swatched near my jawline since I wanted the foundation to match my neck -- my cheeks/nose/chin are more pink than the rest of my face so swatching in those areas would throw off the color match.

Once I eliminated the swatches that were definitely wrong, I tried wearing each color all over my face using my normal application technique, and checked it throughout the day in different lights (office bathroom, car mirror, etc.) After wearing each "maybe" color like this for one or two days, I was able to figure out my perfect match.

Also don't forget you can mix colors if you are in between shades -- all the Level 1's were too dark for me so I mixed each color with Alabaster to lighten it before swatching or wearing it all over.

Good luck and let us know if you have any other questions!
