Any one out there with Aqua colored eyes? I really am not sure what eye shadow colors to use to bring them out. I don't want them to look more blue or more green, just the color they are which is a light dusty aqua..........

Any help would be great!

My eyes are greenish and depending on what I wear (or if it is blue sky outside), they often look more aqua. They are constantly changing depending on my surroundings, so I'm never totally sure what color they are, actually!

I wear lots of purples and mauves and teal greens on my eyes. I think that purples make my eyes pop the most.

HTH!

My eyes are green and when I wore AL neutrals one day, I was told by a stranger that I have the bluest eyes they ever saw.

Are aqua eyes considered to be bluish green or greenish blue?

My eyes are blue-green and depending on what I wear is how how they look.

Try greys and see how that works for you.
I've been searching for ways to make my eye color more intense and sometimes grey really seems to work.

Also, yellowish-greens like Estranged seem to make my eyes brighter.

Thanks for all of the input! I think my eyes are more green than blue, maybe aqua green?

I will try all of the colors you suggested!

Aqua green? Sounds exciting Smile I would love to see a pic!

Girl_Geek should be around soon because she has blue-green eyes. I have green eyes, and navy blues, purples, reds, and oranges make them stand out. I wouldn't suggest navy blue for you since that would make the blue in your eyes disappear. However, I would try out purples, pink/reds, and oranges. Also, people with blue eyes wear orange/copper to make their eye color stand out (orange is the opposite of blue) and people with green eyes REALLY should wear red to make their eye color stand out (red is the opposite of green). So, if I were you, I would try a mix of orange and red, i.e. peach and see what that does for you. Also, if your eyes are more green than blue, then perhaps colors that make blue eyes stand out, i.e. oranges, coppers, would bring the blue color into equal balance with the green.

Mine vary from blue-grey to blue-green. I love scuba and tanzanite gel liners. Purples like Underworld, Odile, and Stillinhollywood are gorgeous in my crease or as liners. Tarnish makes my eyes pop more than anything. I also love Cocobean and Copper for this as well. Neutral colors also always look great in FOTD posts of girls with any shade of blue eyes.

Without makeup my eyes usually look blue, but I've discovered that I can make them look more green or aqua with different colors of makeup Smile

Colors that make my eyes look more aqua/green-blue: teals/blue-greens, purples, and blues (If the eyeshadow is more blue than my eyes, then my eyes look more green in comparison! However, sometimes really bright blues can actually overpower my eyes and make them look more grey in comparison.) Lucky Pure Hue is probably the best for making my eyes look aqua -- my eyes seem to match Lucky whenever I wear it! Even an eyeliner in one of these colors, such as Oceanic, can help make my eyes look a bit more aqua.

Colors that make my eyes look more blue: anything warm or neutral (brown, gold, bronze, peach, etc.), pink, red, burgundy.

I'm not sure if these same colors will work for you if your eyes are more green than blue (since mine are more blue than green) but it's worth a shot! Smile

PS: My eyes always look green when viewed from the side, that's why they look green in my avatar Smile They would look blue from front with my avatar look though!

Reds and orange/coppers work for me! I have blue-green eyes leaning more towards green. Bright, flat, pure reds make my eyes pop like crazy but it's not a color you can wear for most occasions... For everyday colors try Zinfindel (my fav), Fox for a neutral, and copper/orange shades. You can mix them together too to get exactly what looks best. A lot of green-eyed people say to go with plum purples, but for me it makes my eyes look tired and bruised. Try plum liners if you have the same problem. I love Colette as a liner, also mixing a touch of Slowburn with dark browns and purples. Slowburn as a liner gives a gorgeous pop, but be careful because if you use too much it will stain your skin for the next day... Hope that helped a little =)

I definitely recommend Peacock Gel liner, by the way. It's great with blue-green eyes Smile

My eyes aren't aqua - or even officially green - but I thought I'd add that wearing purple eyeshadow with a light green highlight on the brow bone makes my usually brown/hazel eyes look definitely green. So if you're aiming for more green, something about that combo seems to work.
