Hi there! I'm an EDM convert, too. Welcome to AL and the forums.

Your coloring is different than mine. In EDM, I wore Multitasking Neutral or Fairly Light. In AL, I am a Glissade 2PL, which is actually a far closer match for me than the EDM colors. Was the Golden Medium Tan a good match for you? Or are you looking for something different in the undertones like I was?

I can't really tell from the photos... you are perhaps a level 3? Looking at the photos, the AL swatches and the EDM swatch, you might be a C or a W. (It seems odd to me... like how could someone be cool or warm?) But it could be my monitor...

Maybe the AL undertone listings will help...

Yellows = beige + yellow
Warms = beige + yellow + peach
Cools = beige + peach + pink

You could look at some FOTDs from our lovely Ciao; she wears a 3W.

HTH and welcome to the forums!

I am another who used to wear EDM.

I really can't tell from the picture either. I went digging through the EDM samples I still have to see if I have Golden Medium Tan foundation so I could try to match it to Aromaleigh, but I don't have one.

I used to wear EDM Golden Fair Intensive or Golden Light once in awhile while.

In Aromaleigh foundation, I wear 1Y with varying amounts of 2W or 2Y/2L depending on the season mixed in.

I would sample 2Y and 2Y/2L to start and maybe order some 3W or 3N to mix if those two aren't an exact match. You may need to go up to a 3Y.

Which formula foundation did you buy in EDM?

Thanks for stepping in, Hoyden. I am not the most adept at making the color matches for others. Your advice is great.

It's good to meet another EDM convert, too. I used to wear the intensive formula myself.

I tried EDM but I wore their very lightest shade so I'm no help Wink

It's hard to tell from pictures -- differences in computer monitors, cameras, etc. make it difficult to determine exact skintones. But if you tend to wear "medium" shades in other brands, Level 3 is a good guess for Aromaleigh, though you may consider a few samples of Level 2. Aromaleigh's Level 1 is lighter than most other brands' lightest shades; however, EDM seemed to have very light shades too so this may not apply to EDM. Also, "Golden" makes me think it probably has warm or yellow undertones, so perhaps you could try 3Y, 3W, 3YL, 3WL?

Also if you want to save some money, the Linen blends are just a 50/50 mix with Linen -- so 3YL = 50% 3Y and 50% 3L. You can make your own mix Smile

Finally, if you want to verify whether you do have warm undertones, also try a sample of 3L (or whatever level of L you think is closest to you). If L looks too pink, then you have warm undertones and should try Y, YL, W, WL. If L looks too yellow, then try P, PL, C, CL. If L is close but looks ashy, grey, or just "off", consider trying N.

Good luck and let us know if you have any other questions!
