I have been watching some tutorials on YouTube tonite, before I get myself in over my head.

Most of the tutorials I see are ones where gals are mixing their pigments with petroleum jelly (eeww!) and if that weren't enough I saw one where the young lady placed her lip gloss in the freezer after she was done.

I am not being critical, I am just wondering, is it really necessary to put your finished product in the freezer? For one thing, I intend to use the Jojoba lip base from AL, and the pigments that Miss K has told us are lip-safe. What I don't want to do is get into the whole mess of transferring my stuff to a tube. So I plan to have plenty of clean five gram jars on hand to store my lippies.

That's my question for now. Thanks!

Oh, I just thought of something else. What about flavoring? Is it ok to us regular flavoring like Vanilla from the grocery store? I have been over on MyLipStuffStore.com looking at all the lip flavorings there, and wondering if grocery store stuff would work just as well. Thanks again!

You need flavor oils. Vanilla extract is in an alcohol base. fromnaturewithlove.com has a ton of different flavor oils. I've never used them, but I've heard they do the trick.

I would just LOVE to purchase Miss K's cocoa/orange fragrance for my homebrew lippies. It is a huge part of the lippie experience for me. How about it Miss K?? Drool

Hmmm.. I really don't want to sell my reknowned cocoa orange fragrance... it's a big part of the Aromaleigh lippies.

Hope you understand, but I kind of can't do that. I only want that special blend in lippies that Aromaleigh sells.

Sorry!

Of course, Kristen! That IS the aromaleigh experience Smile I hope the Summer of Love lippie sold well so that you can continue to produce limited edition glosses with that awesome scent!

Noirchat, you could try to duplicate it using a mix of flavor oils. Hmm, maybe someone else has already tried that?
