I'm getting these obvious chest creases in my decolette region due to me sleeping on my side. I'm only 34. I know it's unrealistic to think I will never sleep on my side again because I always end up that way. Does anyone know how to prevent these? I could sleep with a tiny pillow between my boobs, but that seems uncomfortable and not very do-able. LOL. Even my mom noticed these creases right away. My skin there has always been delicate, but I guess it's thinner now.

Foundation: 2y voile with a tiny amount of 2yl sometimes. (Can also wear 2W)

Supposedly it helps you not roll over if you sleep with a pillow under your knees. Maybe a long body pillow placed horizontally would work the best. I am a former side-sleeper too. I had to train myself to sleep on my back because I was always having neck pain...sleeping on my back seems to help. I have a special foam pillow for back sleepers (for my head, not knees) that has an indentation for the head. That helps a little because the pillow itself is most comfy when I'm on my back. Eventually I got used to sleeping on my back, and now I don't roll over anymore...I don't know if that's much use to you or not.

I think that sort of creasing is common. There actually is available a small pillow on a harness that keeps the girls from squishing when you side-sleep. Intimia Breast Pillow

I don't know if it works - but it's what popped into mind!

My coloring - Fair, naturally curly dark red hair, freckles (light golden), combo to oily skin, use 1W Glissade and/or Voile, although I can and have worn 1Y, 1Y/L, and 1Y/L/00 at different times. Would describe my coloring as neutral - not a classic Autumn, not really a Winter, maybe more of a Late Fall?

Hmm, I'm not quite sure what you're talking about, but would wearing a bra to bed help? It could keep them more in place?

Thanks Green3. I will have to try & train myself to sleep on my back. I do have one of those nice pillows, but I still end up on my side. LOL. Also, I've tried sleeping with a pillow under my knees, but after a while, I want to be on my side. Hee hee. I will try it again with a longer pillow & see if that helps. Thanks, Bridget. LOL. I had no idea a special pillow was made just for this! That's funny! The creasing is really above the boobs, in the upper chest area. It totally shows if I wear a v-neck shirt. Unfortunately, I wouldn't want to wear a bra to sleep. I had wearing them during the day as it is. Plus, my skin would still crease, because even if I had no boobs, it's the part above them, that has thinner skin and creases. I can understand why it would, especially if I'm sleeping on my side for 8 hours. Thanks ladies!

I know exactly where your creases are - and that pillow really is designed to prevent that - it's the weight of the bust shifting that causes those crease up high on the chest.

I agree - I take of my bra as soon as I get home. I wouldn't want to sleep in one, either. Would make me crazy!

Good luck - do use your vit c or retinoid on your chest, as that is a neglected area for both preventative care and restorative care. Very prone to sun damage for sure!

They are so annoying! LOL. Maybe I can use a very soft small towel rolled up & place it between my boobs. LOL. Oh Lordy!
I think I will put Nocturne there. I use a body lotion that has Ester-C in it. I have to be religious about putting it on my chest. Thanks Bridget!!

Huh, that's interesting. I didn't even know that they made pillows for that. I'm a side sleeper too and have been for a while. It may sound strange, but if I try to sleep on my back, I wake up from nightmares. I guess I can't fall into a deep sleep that way. Used to sleep on my stomach, but obviously can't do that amymore, smooshed breasts that way too, uncomfortable. Anyway, I think Bridget is right on, treating the skin in that area is important. I always got sunburns there. Excellent question Kitty!

I too, got plenty of sunburns there. Well, I will try using something between my boobs when I sleep & I will make sure I use my vitamin c there! Yeah, back sleeping is hard for a lot of us.

Well, I've tried sleeping with a small pillow or a rolled up towel in between my boobs in order to prevent large, long, deep wrinkles that I've been developing in my upper chest area because I'm a side sleeper. It's not working. So,last night, I put on sesame oil and this morning, I barely saw ANY signs of those nasty wrinkles. I would suggest you put it on at least half an hour before getting into bed, but since I never sleep on my stomach, it stayed there all night, whereas I'm sure some of it that I put on my arms rubbed off a little. I'm pleasantly surprised!!

How neat, KittyCat! I'll have to try that for sure. I've noticed 2 creases that run from the outer edge of my collar bone diagonally to my sternum. Not sun damage, they're well under where my shirts lay, and I also use high SPF sunblock daily on my chest and NEVER get outside. (for real - like I"m inside the shops all day long, until sundown - no gardening in the evening, either). I figure it's just gravity from sleeping and have been diligent about getting my RetinA stuff on there. Sesame oil will be a nice addition.

Thanks - and here's hoping for continued improvement!

I always wear a sports bra when I sleep- always have. Not a fan of gravity! Maybe that would help? They certainly do keep things in place, that's for sure...

Reddish Hair • Blue/Green eyes • 1YL or 00 Glissade normal skin/dry in winter • Clear and High Contrast coloring- I can wear pretty much anything... and I do! • Clarisonic/Vitamin C/Baby Quasar/Retin A/ NuFace junkie • Love Rocks! and Elemental Lustres shadows • I always wear lots of black with a bright color and match my eyeshadow to my clothing... love breaking the rules • 1970 baby... that makes me how old?

I couldn't do that - first thing when I'm home I take off whatever bra I've been wearing. 35 years of not wearing one (because they didn't make them small enough) makes for a hard habit to break, makes wearing even a daytime or exercise functional one a bit of a labor of love. I don't even like the constriction of jammies when I sleep (tmi, I know). guess I'll have to just have creases Wink

I am sure that would help some, too!

Oh my gosh, Bridget, I do the same thing! LOL. I rip that thing off as soon as I get home. My mom tells me, "Get that bra out of here. Someone might come over." I just throw it! LOL. I too, want to get retinol for my upper chest. It's not even so much that the creases are all caused by my boobs, but just thinning skin that crinkles easily in the side-sleep position.
