I wanted a very sheer black lipgloss similar to Mac's Blackfire from the Style Black collection, so I mixed Al's Summer of love LE lipgloss with a bit of blackangel(londondungeon would have worked well too) Rocks! shadow. It came out really well and if my camera battery wasn't dead I would have posted a picture to prove it.:-)

Charge that camera up! I want to see.

Oh, yay! I've been wondering about subs for that MAC gloss. They still don't even have it out nearby where I live! I was thinking a/b getting some MAC reflects glitter and mixing it with the AL base instead. That way it would be less money and more product .

Sounds like a great idea Elena! I bought a sheer black gloss from Kat Von D nad ever since I have been hooked! I must admit that I did purchase the new one from MAC.

I have some Blackdiamond Rocks!.Maybe I will have to try that.

I'd LOVE to see it Starry. I was contemplating the Mac Blackfire, but I'm not spending what they want! Maybe this would be the way to go instead. I have tons of the blacks from the Rocks! collection so may go get some clear lip gloss and give it a shot!

Black gloss works wonders to darken/deepen those lipsticks that need a little tweaking. Oh, how many soft pretty pinks dear friends buy me, trying desperately to convince me how lovely I'd look in them. I just put some black gloss over them and they're instantly better!

I mentioned MAC's Style Black Glimmerglass on FB, and not to get everyone's hopes up, but Kristen did mention a possibility of her working on a black balm when she returns from Italy...... I almost posted a survey to see how many people would buy one, to convince her it'd be worth her while to do a half batch. But I don't want to put any pressure on her, as she's supposed to be de-stressing with this vacation!!

But Miss K, just know, there are ladies out there who are waiting for such a product from you! (Hope I haven't spoiled any surprises)

Cin-have you tried Macs lip gloss yet? I ordered it but have not gotten it in the mail.

I remember Miss K posting that she's clearing out the last of her jojoba lipgloss base; that's why the make-you-own gloss kits are no longer available. Then again, I don't know what other gloss bases she has on deck.

I envision a sheer black lippie as an addition to the line of Rocks! Sonic Lips Nourishing Lip Tints. It would fit into the Rocks! theme and it's the only Aromaleigh lippie collection with the translucent jelly-like quality that I think would be fantastic for layering.

Approaching this idea from the formula perspective for Gothic Lolita Nourishing Color Cremes, black glitter or black shimmer embedded in clear lip balm could also be pretty.

Another idea is that the Rocks! and Gothic Lolia NCC lippies could merge, resulting in a sheer black base embedded with a dusting of black shimmer.

Oh, the possibilities!

Melissa, the MAC glimmerglass shades are good - not exactly what I wanted, they're much more sheer than you'd think. Of course, I'm partial to a dark lip. It did pain me to spend so much on them, I kept thinking "you know how much AL I could buy for this?"

I really hope Kristen will make a small batch for us. It'd make a wonderful Halloweenie LE!!

I also had some pangs when purchashing MAC.I almost didn't but hubby said I should treat myself.I just got one of the lipglosses and a greasepaint stick.

I was kind of hoping for a more opaque black gloss but I guess there is alot I can do with a sheer one.

It looks a lot more purply black in real life, this is a lousy pic but it was the best I could do. You can see some of the pretty sparkles though.
