Maybe you all can help me with this - I just received my (amazing) Blackout liner with my latest order, but I have a question about the lids. I try to tighten the jar all the way but it seems like when I get it tight and try to go a little further it pops off it's threads and loosens up. Is it really just that these don't tighten to can't-budge-it tightness or is there something wrong with my lid or the way I'm threading it?

I just tighten mine as tight as I can without feeling like I'm gonna break the lid, or like it's off it's threads.
That seems to work for me. I've been using them for a while, (I don't know how long, at least since late last fall.) None of mine have dried out using this approach. I heard someone say they've added a drop of the lip serum to moisturized the product that had dried out. So, I've kept that in mind if mine start to dry out down the road. I clean my brush regularly to make sure I'm keeping the product clean.

I love this eyeliner, too. Simply the longest lasting eyeliner. And easy to work with, too.
Good luck,
Kathy

Wow, I never had that happen. I have several and just tighten the lid when I'm done - seems to stop when it's tight. I wonder if you tightened it too much and stripped the threads? You might want to email Kristen and ask her. If you aren't getting a good seal you're gonna want to get it into another container ASAP - the stuff lasts forever and you certainly don't want it to dry out.

I have several of these, and mine tighten pretty tight without having to force it. I just make sure the lids are all the way on (no need to tighten it more than that to the point where they're hard to open). That works for me anyway, and I've never had a liner dry out. Just now I tried closing one even tighter than that, and the lid wouldn't budge. It didn't pop off or anything. The lids seem pretty secure and well made to me, but maybe you're twisting just a little too much. I'm sure that's very easy to do in an effort to keep a new liner from drying out!

I just recently received this liner and am having the same issue. I've just been tightening it up as much as I can without causing it to pop off....hope it won't dry out.

Yeah, I can get it pretty snug, but I do think I was just overturning it. I haven't noticed any drying in the whopping two days I've been using it, so I think I'm okay Wink

Now my BIGGER problem, and I think I'll post about this on the brushes area, is that my new fine lining brush seems to not keep it's tip very well, even when shaped after drying. and the stray hair or two messes my liner up Frown

If the indelible liners do dry out, a little water will cure the problem.

Thanks for the tip, that would have been my first guess based on the ingredients. Hopefully that won't be a problem - those puppies aren't cheap and I'd rather buy MORE colors than replace ones I have Smile

My jar of Nude Frost (same kind of container as the gel liners) does this, but none of my other gel liners or cream shadows do this. I think every once in a while you just get a funky jar .... I shut it as tightly as I can, so far it hasn't dried out...

The lid for my gel liner cracked, so I put some duct tape on to hold it together and I keep the whole thing in one of the larger sample baggies. So far it hasn't dried out. Maybe you could keep yours in a plastic bag just in case.

I haven't noticed it drying out and I can still get the lid quite tight, it just seems I can also overturn it. But I am keeping a baggy around just in case! Bummer that your lid cracked Frown
