Hi all, I'm trying to figure out the rocks- are they pretty opaque? I need something for a stage production and I'm having a hard time finding the colors I need!

Wecome Rosey,

Rocks shadows are pretty intense. If you use sealant you can get some really heavy cover, I think they would be perfect for stage makeup. Pick up some samples and find out! Is there anything in particular you are looking for?

I am- I really need a fairly opaque shimmery white and a nice silvery lavender (I've got a picture I'm working from, but I can't post it because I don't know who holds the copywright). Kind of an ice princess look. Smile

I don't have much time to do the whole sampling process since we open in 3 weeks, so I kind of have to make a choice and go with it! Smile

I've never used a sealant- will false eyelashes stick over it?

Another thing to try would be :
allover lid use the eyeshadow primer and base first
before applying dry the rocks eyeshadow. Or use
gold frost creme eyeshadow to help make your
rocks whitewedding or whiteriot stick better to the eye, then
swipe on glam glitter permafrost using sealant.
I think you should put on the falsies first then use the glam glitter w/sealant after the false lashes are on.

Blue-eyed brunette. Necessities : 2W or 2WL with 1Y, Bella gloss or Belladonna lipstick, venomous or scubadive gel liner

Hello!

The Rocks! colours are very opaque and should work well. You could get 'whitewedding' or 'whiteriot' for the white (very sparkly and very opaque... use wet with sealant to keep sparkles on). I don't really see a 'silvery lavender' in the Rocks! lineup, but you might try a sample of a purple (such as the mostly matte 'funkytown' and mix with one of the white shades or possibly add it to 'adrenochrome' which is a *very* sparkly silvery grey).

Sample only orders ship free (if you are in the U.S.)! $10 is the min. order, so you could pick up a few of the white, purple, and maybe the grey and make some mixes.

Aromaleigh ships fast (when I lived in OK, I got my orders within 3-5 days)! I'm not sure where you live, but if you're in the U.S., I think you'll be impressed with how fast you'll get your order! Smile I hope that helped you a little.

The Pure hues color Lavande might be the silvery lavender that you're looking for.

Does this customer photo help?

Bunny's photo

I'm not certain what the bottom color is for her eyeliner, or if the photographed colors came out accurately. But it's a good example of foiling w/sealant.

Definitely get the eyeliner sealant that Desert Sage suggested.

For a stage production, the sealant will give it that visibility from far away. And it will keep it in place. And give the color a more vibrant look with "foiling" (wet application)

Lavande is perfect shade for silvery lavendar and my most fav color ever, but at least on me it doesn't carry far away, even with sealant. It's still worth a try, for blending.
