Oh Kristen.
I'm so eagerly awaiting the release of the new Rocks lip stains to go with the rocks rogues.
You are such a tease!

I keep checking the web site eagerly waiting for the chance to snap some up!
Please give us a hint on when we can expect them. I know you are still recuperating from the rigors of the move. . . And I do now it takes a while to settle in. . .
I'll try to be more patient.
Kathy

I've got them poured, and getting the samples packaged. Labels are almost designed. Have to photograph the swatches better and do all of the web programming... we'll see what this week brings! I can't wait to bring them out either, I am hoping that they will be a hit!

They are in tubes- I've learned over the years that things in pots don't sell. That's why I've gone through so many rounds of starting and discontinuing lip products. Everyone would request that I create a product, and I would- then it would never sell.

A tube-tray pouring system finally came out that allowed me to pour a lot of tubes at a time (pouring one tube at a time was so time consuming and messy, and I messed up almost every tube- which is why I sold products in pots instead).

Once I started selling in tubes, my lip products started selling- REALLY well. Tubes were the secret that for about 7 years, I'd stressed over wondering why products that people said they loved, were just not selling. If they had been in tubes- they would have.

I will never sell products in pots ever again- I learned that lesson in a very hard way. Got lots of pans for discontinuing stuff... but finally discovered what customers really want. It was so simple. Tubes. And having a system available to pour trays of tubes all at once? Magic.

Oh goody! I like tubes as opposed to pots where I have to put the product on with an applicator or, worse, my finger. Thanks! Thanx

I don't mind pots.
I like tubes for ease of application, but, I've also had tubes leak all over my purse, which sucks.

i like them equally. i prefer to apply lipstick, stains, gloss, etc. with a brush so it doesn't matter what packaging it comes in. i am super glad that you are selling them in tubes for the simple fact that they sell. no more disc'd lippies! Happy Dance

I can see why tubes would sell better- they don't require that you either own a brush, or stick your finger in the pot (annoying if you have long fingernails). I love the look of pots though, especially little glass pots. Of course, that also adds to shipping costs... but they're so cute! Very impractical, though. There's also more surface area to easily oxidize in a pot, so tubes keep things fresher longer.

custom mix of: voile/glissade 1YL-2YL plus a bit of Lilas Coquille. Green eyes, Dark purple/brown/black hair, freckles. Current faves: Bella, Sinisterrouge, and Luminary!

Yay! I'm so glad to hear these will be in tubes, as well. I'm not a big fan of pots either. I don't mind them so much at home, but tubes are just much more convenient on the go. I don't like having to carry a lip brush around with me, or sticking my finger in the pot. Which usually lands me looking for someplace to wipe my finger and lippie under my nails.

i especially like the slimline tubes- these will be in those. They last the perfect amount of time for a natural product I think. I hope to work on getting the tints up end of week!

Have you guys looked at the swatches in Miss K's blog yet? The new lip stains look gorgeous! Love the names too. I'm thinking that falling from grace (sinister rouge), blank generation (wildflower) and notorious (cherrybomb) are definitely a go for full sizes. I want samples of them all, though, they look soooo pretty. Big Grin

In anticipation I wore sinister rouge mixed with some AL balm as a lippie today. Love it! It looks awesome.

I am definitely sampling noreservations (femmefatale) and loveonyourside (sundaygirl) since those are my favorite Rocks blushes! I have really been on a sundaygirl kick lately, toO!

Also probably fictionromance (breathless), headoverheels (candy-o), and shesaknockout (firewoman) -- even though those three are not my favorite blushes, the lippies are so pretty I have to at least try them Wink

Heck, maybe I'll order samples of the whole set just for kicks, even though I doubt the three darker shades will look good on me Wink

They all look gorgeous! I will probably get the sample set of all of the colors, even though I'm really most excited about noreservations and loveonyourside. Although, shesaknockout, fallingfromgrace, notorious, and blankgeneration look awesome, too! Cheers
