Sorry, gals - no pics. Not worthy of pictures today anyway.

had high hopes of actually getting makeup on this morning, only to be bombarded with nonsense right out of the gate. Did get my foundation mix on, plus brows and lashes, blush and a lippie. No eyes, though.

I had packed my newly acquired Wildflower sonic rouge into my cosmetics bag this morning in anticipation of a full face. Turns out it even worked with minimal makeup. It was gorgeous - just fresh, clear, beautiful cool rose color. No brown to it to make it look heavy. I put it on with a fan brush for the sheerest high cheek application, added a bit below the cheekbone, then dusted a tiny bot of my contouring blend into the hollows. Just fresh and lovely - even on this warm redhead with 1W skin.

Paired it with a Lollipop lippie I found in my dress pocket - even though the lippie is warmer and the blush cooler, it still works nicely.

I'm so happy to have this now - I had tried a sample of Wildflower way back when the sonic rouges first came out - just swiped it and sent the baggie on to my black haired daughter knowing it would be perfect on her. Started missing it again, caught the sale last week, and now have my very own little jar. SO happy I do!

Moral of the story - even if you are a warm girl, sample Wildflower - it is crazy beautiful and very versatile.

-b.

**********************
My coloring - Fair, naturally curly dark red hair, freckles (light golden), combo to oily skin, use 1W Glissade and/or Voile, although I can and have worn 1Y, 1Y/L, and 1Y/L/00 at different times. Would describe my coloring as neutral - not a classic Autumn, not really a Winter, maybe more of a Late Fall?

I agree! I use it all the time, even with warmer looks.

I must be the only warm girl on this forum who doesn't like Wildflower! Everyone is always raving about it, but on me it looks like an unnatural bright pink-purple color (even if I apply it super sheerly or under foundation)... not really my thing.

Oh well.... I'll still agree with Bridget that it's worth a sample since it does work for so many people! Big Grin

Bridget, wonderful!! Although I can't believe it took you this long to actually put it on and realize what a great color it is!

I think it's another one of those colors that looks good on most warm AND cool ladies. It can look slightly different from person to person, but most ladies do love it once they try it, despite how vibrant it looks in the baggie. Sorry to hear it doesn't work for you, girl_geek!

How I've only used this color once is beyond me. Guess it will have to make a repeat visit soon.

Tally - your skin just looks gorgeous and dewy in that pic.

It doesn't look good on me either.

Edited to add: I actually like the way Wildflower looks on me after all. It just goes to show you, sometimes you need to give colors a second chance. Smile

I caved and bought a sample.

I have NO idea if I'm warm or cool, so chances are, it'll look okay. I was seriously afraid of the purple (though purple is one of my favourite colours), because I kept imagining Violet in Willy Wonka... BUT apparently it's not purple when you get it on.

I can't wait to get my sample. When I do, I'll put it on and show you. If it doesn't look horrible. Or turn me violet.

Here is a better pic of wildflower (my skin tone is a bit off, but on my monitor, that is exactly how wildflower looks!)

Nix...

"You're turning violet, Violet!" TeeHeeHee

Seriously. It doesn't make you violet. I think you are really gonna like it.

Okay, I'm going to give Wildflower another try. I think I first tried it back when I was scared of anything that wasn't neutral. It's on my list for tomorrow's makeup look.

I finally used wildflower today but didn't have a chance to take a pic. Frown I think I might like it. It's a very different color for me. Sierra (DD) said she liked it. I'm going to play with it some more over the next few days. I'll post pics of me wearing it soon.

I can't wait to see pix. I recently pulled it out again too and I love the flush it gives. I really feel like all the Rocks give a great blush.

So here are the pics of me wearing Wildflower rocks sonic rouge. It is a difficult color to photograph since in order for it to show up really well in the picture, you almost have to apply it in a clown-like fashion. I was on my way to run errands with the kids so no clown cheeks for me. Hopefully, you can still see the subtle pink/lavender glow that it provides.

On the rest of my face:
spark (elemental lustre) - lid/just into crease
tapestry (opulent lustre) - to darken outer corner
chocolate mousse gel liner - smudged on uppers
unicorn (l'orchidee) - crease to brows (I almost forgot how much I love this color)
fallingfromgrace rocks lip tint - lips
